    Good piece - brave.
Not sure about some of your comments.
Olsson went off because Burnley could be contained with a back thee.
Mawson ... received no offers probably because he's not as good as many think. He had little to do today.
MvdH and Fede had all the traffic.
At last, with the options we now have, we prised open the door of the Burnley bus. Wouldn't have happened under Clement.
    Too right about the crowd.

Considering his age I think Mawson has the makings of a top player. Reminds me a lot of Ashley Williams in the way he spreads the ball to the right wing from the back. There was talks of him being part of the Ayew deal so I'm glad we coughed up the cash there instead.

From what I've seen he still makes the same errors he did when he arrived.
Mawson now has what made Jonjo and Ash look good - a wide player (Dyer & / or Naughton) who work to make those long balls work. Previously they were as likely to go out of play or to the opposition. He is very good in the air and is a decent CB - interesting that Carvalhal has pushed him out to the left where he gets less work. I was impressed when he was carrying the ball forward against Leicester but then he couldn't get back to defend.
It is also interesting that there has been no more interest shown by Southgate.
The WHU / Ayew rumours were just that. While I have no doubt some clubs would have made an offer of around £12 million, once the club mentioned a high fee no one was interested.
    Just my opinion.
