Fifa 22 - Stop abusing PSG u pricks! On a side note- I'm playing seasons and I enjoy using Newcastle and destroying 5 star teams.
I've got an Atari system, minus the cassettes, from the early 80s. I reckon the graphics would be ****.
I got a Ps2 years ago, just because it came with a disc with all the sega Sonic games. I basically gave up on games around 92, but re playing the Sonic games was awesome, Sonic & Knuckles is a certified banger.
Just being nosey how long ago was that and what games were you playing? I haven't bothered with video games since stopping playing Sonic when I was 13, playing it randomly again all this time later was kinda fun though, but not something I'd regularly do. I'd rather read a book, paint the house or redesign the garden if I was going to down something that will take hours on end of my time.
The last game I ever played was splinter cell, so early x box. Sometimes I've had the odd blast on games with my nephew but I lose interest immediately
Likewise - my gf plays the GTA games while it's fun to watch her playing them, actually playing them myself bores me senseless. Maybe it's cos I grew up with simple and addictive games designed to be fun and not mentally taxing; ie I used to love the simplicity of Sonic and Space Invaders, but I ain't gonna play some complicated advanced online RPG whatever these days, cos I can think of far better and more productive uses of my time.
When I see 40 year olds buying themselves the new games I think they're sad as ****, but I suppose in life people just do the things they like. I'd rather just relax watching the news these days
The Secret of Monkey Island still gets my interest now, as does Zelda. Call of Duty and other shoot 'em ups have short span appeal.
Yeah, plus it's all the ****ing downtime that results from playing a game, ie people saying they spend 30 to 40 hours to complete a game, and those people boasting about how they had 20 hour World Of Warcraft sessions. If I'm gonna spend that kind of time doing something, I'd do DIY, run a marathon or replan the garden, not be an online geek with goblins and elves.
How does watching the news help you to relax? It's all doom, gloom, wars, pandemics, dodgy politicians, corruption, murderers, economic issues, tax increases, energy bills going up... ...followed by the odd bit of random local 'news' of an old lady who found a marrow growing in her garden that was shaped like a dog, or some weird guy wearing mustard chinos and waving a strange purple object...
Sonic was always a top favourite. My Megadrive complete with Sonic was stolen in a burglary in the early 90s. The bastards bricked the patio doors, ran in, and took the TV and console. I wasn't happy.
Apex Legends. That’s all I really bother with; mainly because I don’t get enough time to do the other stuff. Will get Starfield when it comes out: probably hogwarts as well.
Motherfucker, that's bad. I left my Megadrive at my parents house after I moved out and my dad knackered it by standing on it, lol. If you wanna be a sad bastard like me and occasionally re live your Sonic memories, get a PS2 and get the Sonic Mega Collection disc, every feckin Sonic game on 1 disc! Also the Mini Megadrive is awesome : https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07NVMYB7K/?tag=not606-21
