What a fantastic player he is. Every time i see him he just seems to get better and better. I know we will not keep him forever and he could walk into any team he wanted. Who knows where his talent could take him and it would be great to see him realise his full potential, wherever that may be. I am just happy that, for now, he plays for Celtic.
Pity he was so poor on Saturday , will let him off on this occasion , I see he's away to play a meaningless friendly for his country, can see him getting rested at Aberdeen to be ready for Lisbon .
Who wasn't poor on Saturday? Disappointing result but I suppose understandable - team probably feels they can pick it up when it becomes really necessary in the League but my pessimistic side says that's a dangerous game as the other SPL teams will give their all against us in view of the opportunities for top spots for the taking ...
First Kenyan to score in the Champions League, while his brother was the first Kenyan to play in the CL, FOR Inter Milan.
Mmmmm, now, where have I seen that comment before Only joking Alb - I posted that fact on another thread but didn't know about his brother - where is he now?
Don't know. I cheated by getting the info from channel 4. CL programme on ITV player. His bro did not have the same surname as Victor and I was astute enough to notice that his forename was also different ..... So we have to accept the commentators word for it. Lol
I believe this is he ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonald_Mariga Perhaps we should also take a closer look at the other two bros - Thomas and Sylvester who play for Kenyan Premier League clubs Sofapaka and Sony Sugar respectively? This is Thomas - certainly got attitude whatever else ...
He pulled out Keyna friendly with a throat infection , will return to training on Friday or Monday !!!!! Said he picked it up after the Barcelona game , why did he play on Sunday ????
Although I think N.Lennon to be one of the best ever Celtic Managers I think he has been a little lax since the Barca game. I am told he sent the players out on Wednesday night to "enjoy" themselves. On Saturday it looked as if the enjoyment went on too long. This week he got Ambrose out of playing friendly and then he let him travel to Israel to meet his family. I would have thought it would have been better to have as many players as possible meet every morning at Lennoxtown, do some light training and listen to an inspiring speaker and have a team building afternoon doing something leisurely. I cannot understand the "drinking nights" GAA teams who aim to win don't drink during season. I know Johnstone Murdoch etc sipped a nod one but it was different times and when you are earning multiple thousands per week , you should not need your kicks from alcohol.
