We can't buy Diakite. He is not excatly Yaya Toure, not yet anyway, so we could copy in a biddin war surely? Only thing im thinkin of that if he is willing to go to some big club (manU, arsenal, liverpool, spurs, real, milan, chelsea, city or barca etc.)
Agree. He's the kind of player we should be trying to sign if we're serious about securing our place in the Prem
I would guess that MH has one or two players we haven't heard of on his list and there are three months of wheeling and dealing to go so chins up chaps!...
Lots of maneuvering to come I'm sure, but these two at least were meant to be done deals according to the information we were given when they first arrived weren't they? On that basis we had a right to expect them to be signed up on the Monday after our PL status was confirmed. With all the dodgy agent dealings in our recent past its disappointing that things are not clearer regarding these two.
Sadly, loyalty is a dirty word to many footballers, one minute they're kissing the badge, the next they're happily signing for a fatter paycheck, it's the nature of the beast...
What we must remind ourselves of here, is that we're no longer the 'cowboy outfit' of years yonder. We now have some ruthless and efficient people at the helm who know what they want and how to achieve it. If agents , players and whoever else might try to mug us off will get told to ' Do One! ' Take for instance this tweet five minutes ago from an independent sports journalist Julian Bennetts...... " Interview done with #QPR chief exec Philip Beard - impressive guy. Work done off the pitch very impressive & foundations there for the long-term. Along with Mike Rigg and many other staff in place, there will be a whole raft of quality potential signings at our disposal. Times are good, let's enjoy the ride. We must trust those that we now have controlling our Rangers.
Lets hope it is not a case of "all the players we are interested in is all it is INTEREST". Like last season.
Very, very disapointed if...... ...we can write thread titles that relate to content. Not just you though Igor: these curiosity headings are becoming epidemic. (Ooo, wonder what's in that one?!)
D'you reckon the Diakite and Taiwo's 'owners' were expecting us to go down? In Diakite's case, there's reason to suspect they were assisting the process with that mystery 'virus'... no?
Who has said that the virus was a fake one? I like to believe its all about rumours and lazy sport journalism again.
