very boring game today and we looked tired and out of ideas, Albert was sussed right out and Maynard was isolated and i don't give a flying **** what anyone else said we missed Marvin Elliott today, also hope nyatanga's back for derby, much prefer him to Wilson

i trust Derek to get us back on track for the derby game and i'll expect to see a new formation seeing as we won't have Pearson

Wilson played well apart from a few "mistakes", that referee though <steam>

Shiny, we won't be playing teams like Boro every week - they will (IMHO anyway) finish top 2. Plus yes, we definitely missed Marv and didn't do enough to win but I don't think we deserved to lose either.

As for Wilson, I thought he was magnificent - his reading of the game is superb and his positional play is excellent too, how many times today was he in the right place to cut out dangerous balls (answer, ALL the time). He was not far behind Skussssssssssseee for MOTM for me. Far better player than LN...

Got to agree about Wilson, thought he played very well, think LN will have a hard job getting his place back, think the free kick leading to the goal was very harsh, should have had a definate penalty, all in all not at our best, but cetainly didn't deserve to lose.

I though Boro were crap! Top two my arse! We were the better team and as for that ref! Shocking! Blatant penalty to us and failed to see the player dived for their goal. I though we over played the ball in the final third. Just shoot or cross for the love of God!

    Shiny - Behave.

Yes we missed Marv big time but Wilson was superb along with the rest of the back 4.

We were the better side first half but it has to be said -
Derek you screwed up with your 2nd half substitutions.

Taking off Woolford and Pearson for Bolassie and Pitman left us out gunned in midfield. Boro got stronger and stronger as the game wore on and it was no surprise they shaded the game. I'd bet a million quid he wouldn't have took off Marv so why he took off replacement midfielders is at best, questionable.

No doubt Derek tried to win it by going 4-4-2 but by doing so sure as hell lost it.

I thought Marv was common knowledge but yes, congrats too.

Wilson's job is to defend, thats what he is good at and IMO, he is another Caulker in the making and yes, I really do believe that.

Shiny, you obviously favour LN which is fine but you really need to just watch Wilson's reading of the threats on goal which is what he is in the side for. He is VERY good at it, watch objectively (or on Sky+) for a few games rather than wish LN was playing and then comment....

Most of the time, he either gave the ball to Cisse or NK os CS, occasionally, he played it up the line and one ball nearly put NM in...

as a completely unbiased watcher of todays game, the ref was spot on in ever decision apart from the handball which should of been a pen 100%. everything else was correct in my opinion. boro's goal from the free kick was a free kick but their player went down way too easy but was still a free kick. on another day, you would of had a pen and bolasi (your sub - however you spell it) could of saw red. on a reply on his tackle from a side angle, it very muched looked like a 2 footed stamp.

a draw would of been a fair result but a defeat for you is ok i suppose ;)

We were cheated out of at least a point, neither team deserved to win. In the weeks and months ahead we will get good results against worse teams and perhaps this ends the honeymoon before it gets out of hand which is maybe a good thing.

As for Nicky Bailey what a ****ing girl, and as for Emnes, what a ****ing cheat.

Having to watch the game on tv, I was impressed with JW, Boro done their homework and went for a 5 man midfield and got a lucky decision from the ref with Emmes diving. Wish we had someone to take a free kick like that.
Del says that this was an acceptable defeat and that he was proud of his players.
    In Del we trust

It was defo a pen from where I was sat which was pretty close but I would like to hear what the TV boys had to say. As for today, I think 3 games in a week did us in and it was probably the toughest game we will have for a bit.

    Boro were crap...??!!!!

They were well organised, everyone was comfortable on the ball and they passed and moved well. This is everything you need to succeed in this division, suggest a visit to the opticians....

I wasn't talking about every player, i was talking about Wilson, and for his first full game under DM, i thought he did very well.

The tv boys said 9 times out of ten that would of been a penalty, but the linesman had the best view he jumped with his hand up

from the replays of the pen decision, i think the ref had a good view to be honest but the lino had the better view.
