Good shout aber, i lost a mother father sister and bro -in-law to cancer and all down to funding as far as i'm concerned,i wonder how many of the aristocracy have died of cancer(i doubt many) and over the yeatrs a hell of a lot of them smoked,not cigarettes as such but a hell of a lot of cigars pipe tobacco and snuff, i wonder whats keeping that lot alive
Aber, sorry to hear you lost your mother to cancer, it's a horrible disease and I'm sure it would have touched virtually everybody's lives on here at some stage. I've lost 2 family members and a friend to cancer and feel for anyone who has been through the pain of seeing loved ones die from this horrible disease. I believe everything should be done to find a cure for all types of cancer but alas I don't think it will ever happen, too many new strains seem to appear! Prevention is better than cure so why not invest in preventative methods as well? As an aside: quitting smoking is not the answer as it doesn't cause cancer, it may increase the chances of getting some forms of cancer but certainly not all types. We read these types of articles all the time but it never seems to go anywhere?

With you 100% here aber i too lost my Mum through this terrible disease. Many people are suffering and anything that can be done to ease their suffering or delay the effects of this disease should be available to all. Aber good shout butty
I'm with you 100% aswell Aber. My Grandfather survived WW2, then died in 2007 with throat cancer. My grandmother then had breast cancer last year, luckily she has fought that, and then my father (39) had prostate cancer, and he fought that. So, while I havn't lost many members of my family to the disease, there has been some worrying times, and something needs to be done to fight it.
cheers lads, seems like us taffs are taking the brunt of what appears 2 be a growing problem and we need action...im gonna start 2 build up the evidence and my local MP with have me at her fking desk soon.......if she dont speak with me then i`ll make a protest and sit on the council roof and make it public and blow her out of the water and take her job with it. we need action and we need transparency funny lads init the only thing that separates us south wales lot are the football teams we support...............thanks for the kind words lads and ktf we will win this battle in the end
thanks sussex dude,most of the pain has gone tbh,i only feel anger of what im seeing going on with the way they treat us.....or not as the case may be.like i said my mothers gone now and its 2late for her but im not letting this go without a fight and i want answers as 2 why they will only use treatments that cost the nhs a fortune....compared 2that medication which can be grown and given without any side effects what so over. im not sure the local MP can answer my concerns from her burried head of labour controlled aberdare.......lets be honest this place could have a fking monkey running for the labour seat and it`ll get in,but she sure as hell better get me the right answers from the right people or i`ll go fking mental.........do you know what!! my mother is in aberdare cemetery and theres not one grave around her where someone has hit the age of 70.....all are from their 50`s-60`s......know i now this area is deprived and thats part of the reason people are dying young up here.......but it aint good enough tbh we are being shafted and left 2 fking rot in this **** pit. i will spend a few month`s working on my findings and i will present them 2 the councils health authority,if they dont act then i will take it 2the welsh assembly and if that dont work im going all the way 2the european courts for my answer.im not gonna leave this go. jackash.....ur not wrong and it looks all the more childish the older im getting.....pathetic football rivalry is old and outdated just like our country policies
good on you aber its a disgrace that the so called 'lottery' in the standards of NHS treatments in diffierent parts of the UK. some areas will treat you for something, others wont as it costs too much, i've read enough about it and quite frankly it stinks, and i can only imagine how you feel after what has happened to your family aber. going off topic i know, but in my area, quite a nice area, many of the roads are crap, holes and potholes everywhere, but go down the road with all the million pound plus houses about 2 minutes drive away and the road is spotless, i remember there was a pothole there and it was fixed sharpish, you'd think in this day and age stuff like that doesnt happen but the reality is that it does...
cheers swamp dude heres one for you my misses has just started in pentwyn area as a nurse in the community......she has had a phone provided,a laptop,some serious out door clothing and none of this would have been supplied if she done the same job in my area......WHY!!! going onto the pot holes problem......if you take this areas road 2 brecon,you will see the road improve no end when it hits the powys sign post.....WHY!! are we just the **** on the shoe for this country>>>>>>maybe the answer is yes if im honest.
we need massive changes in this country and its not gonna happen through the ballot box.......we need 2 get together and plan the peoples party for the war against the powers that keep us down with the **** education we receive and the problems we have with poverty and ill health.
