Just got back from the game today and i have to say we played very well today!! However the result was not good We were very unlucky to not get anything from todays game (apart from the silly error in defence where they scored) we were miles better than they were. We held onto the ball very well created some very good chances and if tarbs had maybe passed the ball on a few occasions rather than shooting (i.e to cisse ) i think we would have got a point or maybe all 3 It is very frustrating though that our centre forward actually had no clear chances to score today, all the opportunities fell to others. We have to get that ball to cisse he will score , his job is to not go running all over the place it is to put it in the onion bag, PUT THE BALL IN THE RIGHT AREA AND HE WILL SCORE FACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We go on about lazy and so forth no the players played well today and i think someone is due a spanking soon, hopefully southampton will be the start As for Hughes (and i have to say i find him very frustrating sometimes) well, TF will not get rid so lets get behind him the team and management, if we do they will come good. Do we really want to go down the road of the last few years with a new manager every 6 months???????
We will not thrash anyone all season, Hughes will shut up shop if we ever score the 1st goal. Look at the results, virtually every game has 1 goal in it and thats usually the oppositions goal.
Playing football is about winning football matches. We havent won a match since last April. YES LAST APRIL. Our manager is crap and with a few exceptions so are are the players who im sure spend more time working out to what to do with their fat pay cheques instead of giving 110 per cent to win football matches.
to be fair we did play some good football and for a moment I thought the Faurlin introduction would be the turning point....and then we didnt take our chances again and we lost again!
"We were very unlucky to not get anything from todays game" It's thoughts like this which has put us in the s*** this season. Always thinking we deserve more, luck isn't on our side and we'll turn the corner soon. Problems are much deeper than that, as evidenced by almost 1000 minutes of football this season. I'd expect TF to come out with rubbish like this, yet another excuse to keep our useless management team. Just like the arsenal game, we couldn't break down a poor side, created few clear chances and couldn't score to save our lives. We deserved nothing. Appreciate your sentiment though. Unfortunately positive thoughts won't be the flavour of the week, yet again.
Any of you lot go to the game!!! Actually ever go to a game!!!! Or for that fact understand football Lol We played well today but sitting on your a**** at home you will not see that, you are not true fans too much negativity and very boring say something constructive and people may listen. Phrases like are you for real are not being objective Come on you R'S we still believe
What are you on about? It's not just swords, it's "you in general". You're so determined to be miserable about everything that you brush aside a legitimate post from an honest contributor, because it doesn't fit with your world view that everything is terrible. More than that, there's the stink of arrogance from a lot of responses in this thread, and the majority of them are from armchair fans who weren't actually at the game today. This guy has spent his cash, to go and watch his team get beat, and i think deserves some respect for that. What's so wrong with what sands said? We did play well on the whole, we were unlucky not to get something (Pulis agreed), we did have some good chances. All of you are visibly repulsed by even the hint of positivity. I'd be surprised if this guy has spent less than £100 today, so if he wants to be positive, then i think he's earned the right to be. Here here Sands, lets hope Saints are on the end of that first spanking.
Come on then Swords provide some critical assessment of what exactly you disagree with in the original post? There's a lot of truth in there.
Nothing wrong with positivity. I just thought the analysis was verging into the realms of other worldlliness.
The bottom line is today the right team played the wrong formation which resulted in no cutting edge upfront...
It just strikes me as the opinion of someone who hasn't been trawling the forums since the final whistle- and so their views haven't yet collapsed into the homogenous mass of doom saying that's plastered everywhere at the moment. In reality, a lot of what sands has said is true; whether you agree with the general whiff of positivity or not.
