Regardless of what league we are playing in next season after yesterday's game I am very confident with Paolo Di Canio as our head coach. The first half yesterday was extremely impressive and there was so much difference, work rate, pressuring, getting players forward quickly were all there for everyone to see and I liked it that we tried to play the ball from the back on the deck rather than the aimless hoofing which we have seen over the last few season's. I said to my mate yesterday before the game, Chelsea were the favorites, obviously so and to me the performance was just as important as the points yesterday and how we done for the first 45mins makes me quite confident. The fitter the players get the better we will do and I think we will just stay up. I liked Martin but it seems his work in the end was quite shoddy, the players should be miles fitter than they current are stay up and the good times will come
Isnt it a sad condemnation on MoNs time as our manager that with seven games to go the players are deemed as unfit for purpose, what have they been doing since last July FFS,if this is the true state of the squads overall fitness then I'm utterly ashamed of all the staff involved under MoNs tenure.
I couldnt belive how quickly we attacked on the break yesterday and imagine how quick it will be once the players are fit. Your right, the difference between yesterday and under MON is like chalk and cheese.
