Another 12.30 Saturday kick off for a fixture that would reasonably expect an 18,000 plus attendance at 3pm Given the paucity of the options available to LB, I would like to see Alfie Doughty play from the start. Pacey and direct, and a decent crosser of the ball. Nothing to lose by going attacking, draws with five at the back are not really what we need at the moment. The fans will get right behind the team if they see them going for it from the start.
I am now Along with every other fan who can get to the Valley I should think. I'm starting the day a long way from London tomorrow, but I'm going to make the dash in and hope the traffic gods are smiling on me. If it was a 3pm kick off it would be no problem. But I'll just have to wing it and trust to my luck.
The Covered End is now a sell out today as Charlton fans flock back to welcome the new Royal owner. It’s going to be a brilliant day.
There was a load of players moving between the two clubs in the 80's, I have had a soft spot for them since. Hillsborough has always been one of my favourite grounds, coupled with two of my best mates are Wednesday fans.
Sheff Wed at Selhurst was our first fixture back in the top flight in 1986. Played before a terrible attendance of 5,500 ( I was one of them), and memorable for the Wednesday fans infiltrating the home end (if you could call it that).
Very healthy queue at the ticket office an hour before kick off. Rich Cawley predicting a 20,000 attendance.
