Thought I'd give this one a bit of extra time by starting it early. So, apparently on a certain fans forum this is going to be our Cup Final yet again for another season. Allegedly we "raise our game". As far as I'm concerned this is just another game in the league programme and we will approach it the same as we do all games. That is Shoey will look to win it and we do not do containment and play for a draw. We can win this one given the form we are in but then again so could they given the form they are in. Portsmouth will be shorter odds than us to win the game with the bookmakers but I have noticed that Bookies don't seem to make us odds on to win any game. I am going to back the boys and say we will triumph. COYG
Yes similar comments are elsewhere too. Portsmouth have been in League 1 or League 2 for 10 years now. What makes them think they're special? We take more away fans to once great clubs now humbled than to the minnows because we get more tickets at run-down big stadia like Fratton Park than we do at upwardly mobile newbie league teams. Simples.
i think after this match we could be top of League one given other results im sure we will get the points, Pomey are not a big team are they??

Frenetic start but Portsmouth have got on top particularly by exploiting the space behind Mumba and Edwards ( who’s still playing on his wrong side). Commentators highlight the need for Argyle to have an alternative to long balls into the channels for Hardie. They remark on the need for a midfielder who can put a foot on the ball and deploy a range of passes. Adam Randell comes to mind.
I hate to grind on about this (no I don’t). Randell’s been on 5 minutes and the the words “Randell”, “ball” and “nice” have appeared twice in the commentary already.
Now the numbers. 1-1. 4:4:2. Commentator. “Now we’re matched up, you look at the Argyle players out there and you fancy this”.
