We all know what can go wrong having just watched a fiasco this weekend. All we need is another twat in black to be anti green and it will be sorted. We all know this is god's country so for christ sake lets see some assistance here for a change. I think it's fair to say this is a 6 pointer for once and if we don't win it then our position in the smelly brown stuff will be well and truly confirmed. There is really nothing more I can say except come on you fecking greens go to it and give us something to cheer about and start our season rolling forwards.
Something to cheer about sensible....remember it's only a game of football.....for goodness sake don't tell Bill Shankly that.
What team will he pick? I have a choice of two. Firstly, keeping Song'o in that 4:1:4:1 destroyer role which we missed badly on Saturday after the red card Matthews (if fit) Miller Sokolik Bradley Sawyer Songo'o Grant Fox (my MoM on Saturday btw) Diagouraga Carey Jervis Or reverting to 4:2:3:1 to at least get bodies into that space in front of the back 4. Matthews (if fit) Miller Songo'o Bradley Sawyer Fox (my MoM on Saturday btw) Diagouraga Grant Carey Ainsworth Jervis
Blimey how opinions differ................I think Miller is terrible and have done since the first game I saw him in. However, I was pleasantly surprised at Taylor-Sinclair and thought he's done ok. Thought he'd grown into it as each game went on. Not just being Mr opposite but I also thought Fox was a bit absent on Saturday but then again so was Carey. Must say there wasn't much of an MOM from anyone if truth be told.
The referee for tonight's game is Antony Coggins....who hasn't been down here before.....he has given out 30 yellows in 9 games that he has officiated in. BUT...he hasn't as yet given out a red card this season....oh well there's always a first time.....
Was Saturday typical of Taylor-Sinclait though? First and only time I've seen him. I thought he was woeful going forward: maybe not the benchmark for a FB but we needed all we could get on Saturday.
In the pasoti MoM voting Taylor-Sinclair came second with 15% of the vote.....Jervis was MoM with 28%.....the voting was spread reasonably throughout the team, no player didn't get at least one vote.
Not judging just on Saturday but overall since he was introduced. As said I thought there was no candidate you could call MOM particularly although Jervis put in a shift without troubling much. Taylor-Sinclair was a player a lot seemed to be worried about before he actually played. That seems to rub off on people but I also think he has changed a fair few minds since he started. Not a world beater as such but has done reasonably well. Miller for me has done absolutely nothing. I have rarely seem him pass a ball forward. Whenever he gets a ball no matter how much space he's in, he stops his run, looks inside and passes it generally backwards. Taylor-Sinclair however does try to get forward. I wouldn't put too much store on the pasoti poll Plym. People cast a vote for players who only play a minute or two on there probably trying to be a comic.
I realize that there is a bit of light-heartedness in some of the voting sensible.....but it cannot be any worse that the Herald.
Last 20 Tuesday night league games at Home Park....W3...D8...L...9.....hmm....what could possibly go wrong.
So he's ignored my advice but the big news is that Michael Cooper is now injured so we have 16 year old Max Childs on the bench as substitute keeper. What did we do to deserve this?
Can hear the crowd from indoors here over the top of the Champions League. Frustrating after sitting through Saturday!
