I've just had a quick look at the prediction league and am shocked at how little faith you feckless lot appear to have in the mighty greens. You should all go stand in a bucket in the corner and face the wall. So I think we can win this as I always do of course and am not going to say anymore about the subject. Just remmember Home Park 1987........

    Leeds value......£204.9 million.

Argyle value.....£22.48 million......didn't realize we were worth that much.

To be positive, we’re actually not bad at home: 8th out of the 24 on recent form. Given where we are in the table, it’s obvious it’s not quite so rosy away from home, 22nd out of 24. We're away on Saturday.....

If you sort the full-season league table by goals scored, we're third best with 26 behind Ipswich and Leicester and tying with Norwich. Do the same for goals conceded and we're 19th having let in 25, so you can see where the problem is.

Admirably, despite a tight budget compared to others, it's not the quality to create and take chances that causes us a problem, it's not letting them in at the other end. Part of that is due to our adventurous and entertaining style, so let's not be too critical of our defensive players in isolation.

To be fair, we've had a few bits of bad luck there, at least two goals that I've seen us concede from quick breakaways when we should have had nailed-on free-kicks at the other end. Poor old Norwich are bottom of the "goals conceded" table by the way, having conceded 30 and we've also got Southampton below us.

As ever, I’ll be absolutely delighted if Argyle bring all three points home and I get a big fat zero! However, I'd take one point now if it was offered.

I meant to say that Daniel James is one of the worst divers in world football. I've thought so since he first appeared for Man Utd. What could possibly go wrong given the refereeing we've seen this season?

2-1 a respectable score away to Leeds.....but it looks as if we tried to make a game of it near the end....i'll have to check the write up and video.

I’m sure at home, against us. Leeds went all out from the kick-off. But again we seem to have been 2-0 down before we started playing. Jes sayin..

Well we threw that away. Both their goals came from us throwing the ball away in our own final third. Kesler-Hayden for the first and Scarr Pleggy for the second. We won't win Championship games like that.

Its so very unfair, Leeds with their wealth compared to Plymouth.
So different here in N America they have a Cap on spending and it works.
All teams in the NFL and NHL hockey have the same amount of money to spend on players.
If that were so in the UK there would be no loaded teams.
We know the Premier League is a joke.
At least that's the way I see it.

You are spot on BC. The Premier League skews everything. Parachute payments for failure is so unfair to the rest of the league. Overspending with money you don't really have is the other unfair aspect. There should be a leveller somewhere built in but there isn't. When you get a situation where one player is worth 50% more than the entire squad of the opposition then that says it all.

Parachute payments do skew the Championship in favour of EPL failures but we have to recognise that if they didn’t exist, relegated clubs would go out of business while trapped in expensive Premier League wage contracts.

The real problems are a Europe wide failure to enforce Financial Fair Play regulations and access to dodgy funding particularly from the Middle East.

Let’s not forget that it’s the Championship not the Premier League where clubs overspend most relative to their income. Many are completely unsustainable without constant injections of cash. It’s by no means just parachute payment clubs who aren’t living within their income.

We’re lucky to have a well run club adhering to proper business methods. Simon Hallett insists that the club gets into a position where it pays for itself on a day-to-day basis whilst at the same time investing in its capacity to grow.

That if I may say so is the way to do it and even if we’re relegated this season, something has stirred that isn’t going to stop at least while Simon Hallett is around.
