First opportunity for a season double and of course first away win of the season. Read some comments on the Huddersfield Fans Forum one of which said "we should be beating the likes of Plymouth". That comment is enough to wind me up no end so I'm definately going for a win for the mighty greens.

I expect you can call this a six-pointer....at the moment Argyle are on 29pts and Huddersfield on 25pts....and that is 3pts above a relegation spot.

A win for Huddersfield cuts the difference to only 1pt......BUT if Argyle can get there first away win the gap will be 7pts.....important game for our confidence.

Arrange these 11 players into a formation. You have 30 minutes.

Conor Hazard, 2 Bali Mumba, 4 Jordan Houghton (capt), 6 Dan Scarr, 9 Ryan Hardie, 10 Morgan Whittaker, 11 Callum Wright, 18 Darko Gyabi, 22 Brendan Galloway, 26 Ashley Phillips, 29 Kaine Kesler-Hayden.

    This is my guess:

    Hazard

    Phillips, Scarr, Galloway

    Kesler-Hayden, Houghton, Gyabi, Mumba

    Whittaker, Wright

    Hardie

Extra 50 points if you can come up with a functional line up while arranging the players in alphabetical order, excluding the goalkeeper.

Substitutes: 25 Callum Burton (gk), 5 Julio Pleguezuelo, 7 Matt Butcher, 8 Joe Edwards, 14 Mickel Miller, 15 Mustapha Bundu, 19 Tyreik Wright, 20 Adam Randell, 23 Ben Waine.

I’m listening to the BBC commentary. We’ve already been robbed again. According to the.commentary, Matos should clearly have been sent off for a string of yellow card offences. One of these occurred immediately before Huddersfield equalised, which they shouldn’t have been able to if the foul had been given.

Other than that not a bad performance with clear signs of early influence by Ian Forster.

Apparently we now need to drop “The Five Lanes” into our football banter.

England use The Five Lanes in all their teams when attacking. The idea is to have players in each of the Five Lanes so as to stretch the defence.

I take it the Five are Through The Middle, Left Wing, Right Wing, Inside Left and Inside Right.

Perhaps the WM formation is not dead.

Rather poor game by the sounds of it, particularly in the second half when Argyle weren't very good, although we did rally in the last 10 minutes or so.

Dan Scarr was the commentators' MotM, which probably tells you quite a lot. Down to 19th.

    Huddersfield...1-1...Argyle.

    Koroma...38mins.

    Whittaker...12mins.

At least we didn't lose....sounds like a poor game.....Ian Foster has a lot of work to do......still giving goals away....that needs to stop.

well i watched this today, we looked good and even after we scored could went further aheadm they were getting nothing and then they break and the new lad in the middle for us gets fouled they send the ball through and score 1-1 . yep the [player ypou mention Matos should have gone some bad fouls and the first one he doidnt even speak to him just let it go on.

Second half poor both sides .. encouraging first half.. no need to panic Plym we will be staying up..

Saw a bit of the beginning unfold and then went out and have been out since. 1 - 1 a bit disappointing but any point away is a useful one so onwards and upwards.

That’s the frustrating thing isn’t it? I feel we’ve played pretty well in most games but haven’t always got the points we deserved. Getting the worst of poor refereeing hasn’t helped.

It’s not just us of course. I saw Everton’s striker Calvert-Lewin striker sent off recently for a sliding tackle. The ref didn’t even give it as a foul and on slo-mo it looked innocuous. But VAR flagged it, the ref looked at the screen and then red-carded him. There was contact but it was slight, C-L was on the ground, not airborne, had got the ball before making minor contact, which was on the foot, not up on the shin. Everton appealed and the panel reversed it! What sort of nonsense is that?

Foster says we defended well and if that’s the case we may have turned the corner. We’ve been scoring goals for fun but it’s the other bit that’s been the problem, particularly away from home where you’re bound to be under pressure. But then, two successive 3-3 draws at Home Park over the Christmas period may have been festive fun have to be regarded as 4 points dropped as well.
