I take it nobody has travelled for 3 days for this one....

Just flicked on the Radio and what a mistake that was. They score and it's now 2 - 1. Having clawed one back previously, with our record is there any chance of clawing back another one? It doesn't sound too good currently. Seems a decent goal by Brunt might be all we have to celebrate if celebrate is the right word today.

I am now beginning to think there is something wrong. We lost today to a side that were 9 points adrift of the next side at the bottom. It wasn't just a loss it was a bit of a dicking in the end.

So what is the problem we have from before Christmas. We were knocking on the door of the top 3 and well into the playoff spots. Since then we are 10th, haven't won a game home or away in the last 7 with a gap the size of Cheddar Gorge having developed between us and promotion places. Is it the players in general, is it the coaching or is it the tactics and the manager. I don't know for sure but my guess would be a lack of heart in the players and a lack of the dressing room in the manager. He hasn't got them playing for him has he. The ass end has fallen out of the season already and the crowds will die if it isn't changed very soon. If we don't compete this season seriously then next season I can see the crowds having to be dragged in and they won't be where they are now. There is only so much the green army can take and they have already suffered enough in my book. Have to say that tonight I am so pee'd off it's untrue and I may have to turn to drink.

I have done my usual on the predictions , didn't win the lottery either so I am thoroughly p'eed off.

The only saving grace from today is that everyone else just below the playoffs lost as well, so we are no worse off- i.e. 4 points from 7th. Didn't go (fortunately) so had to settle for Sparksy. I got the impression that we weren't too bad going forward but abysmal at the back. The change of formation clearly didn't work so hopefully back to 3-5-2 I hope on Saturday.(Nelson Mchugh and Hartley at the back). Hartlepool are scrapping for their lives and I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled off the 'great escape'.
Really think Saturday at home V Accrington (who lost 5-1 today) is last chance saloon time. Anything less than 3 points and we may as well give up all hope for this season.

It must be great in your befuddled alcohol induced state lyndy. "the only saving grace".......are you really sure there was one? I know the other results went ok as far as league position is concerned and gap to play off place but is that enough to say there was even a sniff of a saving grace. It's beginning to look just like other seasons where if you are struggling then just play Argyle and change your fortunes. Accy Stanley might be the next. This is crunch weekend for the two loanees we would all like to see back here. If Sheridan pulls it off and they do return then with the injuries clearing up I think we still stand a chance. Without them I just don't know what to expect anymore. I'm kind of leaning towards Sheridan out at the minute even though I believe that is as likely as Argyle getting into Europe in the next couple of years.

I think if the result next saturday is not a win, the crowd or parts of it so i hear from some will be calling for Sheridan to go.. even tho Brent won't do that as he has no balls.. Let us hope we get a good win and start to recover and climb.. if its not a positive result .. then who will know were we will end up this season..

Is there any evidence of a loss of morale? I didn't see it when we were playing well and the players have looked suitably glum when we've had bad results recently. I didn't see anyone looking as though they didn't feel bad, which is as it should be.

We had a great spell with McCormick, Nelson, Hartley & O'Conner delivering clean sheet after clean sheet. All those players are now available again. What does worry a bit is the departure of both Kellett and Thomas. I know Sheridan seems to have been no fan of the latter and maybe he has deep seated fitness issues - didn't he have a bout of asthma? Nevertheless, we now have nobody I can see who'll offer pacy penetration down the flanks if we need it either in Plan A or Plan B. I'm a great fan of Alessandra but I don't think that's his best role.

Sheridan certainly did not give Thomas much pitch time.......and when he came on he had no time to really break into a sweat.

Who brought him to Argyle.....was it Sheridan....I cannot remember ?

Sods law will now take over and he'll be scoring for fun in the SP......will that make the SP a poorer league than Div2 in England I doubt it.

Kellett goes out on loan.....cannot get a game at Bolton.....does well for us......yet Bolton swap him in a flash for a Man U reserve......what the hell is that all about...........the poor fellow packs to come back to Argyle.....and some joker tells him he's going to Man U......and it isn't even Apr1st.

I don't think Thomas will be missed. Don't think he did anything startling for us and certainly wasn't a regular anyway. Stop the opposition scoring and you always have a chance of winning. I would like to have seen Kellett come back of course but to me the most important of them was O'Connor. We have players who can play out wide. Not like Kellett I agree but I think we should be ok.
