Not that it really matters in Cup games but Grimsby are mid table in League 2. Not good but then again not the worst either. We could do with the money but not the extra games that go with Cup runs. Can't ever really want us to lose a game {silly cup the exception} so will just watch this one with no expectations or wishes one way or the other. If we don't win then oh dear never mind and we move on. If we do win well done boys and can we have a home fixture for once in the Cup please.

Just read we have a newbie Ref for this one who is in his first year as a league Ref. So far this season in 10 games he has booked 50 {fifty} players and issued 3 red cards. I just hope he isn't out to make some name for himself.

I don't object to winning as long as:
    1. No injuries
    2. No cards that affect availability for league games
    3. A home draw to be played on a Saturday at 3pm next time!

Would Cup yellow cards be linked to the league ?

Shockingly bad. Not so much the scoreline which is bad enough but the apparent manner of the loss. Scathing comments on pasoti. Didn't think I'd see gutless and the like being said. Hope they make them walk home never mind flying.

Terrible performance and result. Apparently, Schumacher acknowledged the fans at the end but pointedly ignored the players.

According to the commentators, only Cooper ( who did nothing wrong), Ennis and Randell have anything to be satisfied about. They also mentioned Mumba and he does catch the eye when attacking but once again a lot of our defensive troubles sounded as if they came down that side

Other than financially, it maybe we’re better off without a cup run but this sort of performance is deeply shocking. Sometimes a result like this is a catalyst for good form afterwards. Sometimes it’s the opposite though and we have yet more injury worries.

World beaters for 5 minutes and 1-0 up.......and then.......%$+(*)!^%£+?><|¬%(&":<@>.....for the rest.

Okay we lost badly.....but what really matters is Scarr and Grant being injured.....our defence hasn't kept a clean sheet for something like seven games....but we've been scoring the necessary goals to off-set that..... but injuries amongst the defence has been upsetting their performance levels.

1.....Scarr hasn't really settled back in after his straight red card cost him three games.....and now he is injured.

2.....Azaz star midfielder out for 10/12 weeks is a major blow.

    3.....Gillesphey regular defender.... injured.

4.....Danny Mayor had been playing well under Schumacher....injured.

5.....Miller top signing in the summer...only played pre-season.....injured.

    6.....Bolton defender...succumbed again.....injured.

7.....Grant has only just started being available and building up his match fitness....injured.

Also no Houghton in the squad today...does that mean he's....injured.

With the size of our squad....7 or 8 players not available will catch us up and effect our results.

Nov 5th today.....blew us up in more ways than one.

Let’s not get suicidal. At some point we were bound to lose a few. We haven’t yet

Scarr is I think totemic, physically and metaphorically. I’d he’s gone again, that is a blow

Mayor & Mikel are theoretically 3 or 4 weeks away.

Whittaker has got more to give. Ennis is a beast. Hardie, if you get the ball to him is a dead eyed assassin.

All is not lost. This has been a dreadful Cup excursion but we can lose a few in the league and still be in contention. We’d have settled for top of the league on Guy Fawkes. Be positive.

PS both Stephen Schumacher and Captain Joe Edwards scathing in their post match comments. Time to look in the mirror.

I have been sat here on my computer for several hours now and sort of resisted commenting. I am still pee'd off with this afternoon. It's not losing it's the manner of the loss. When we do feck up. and grangted we haven't much this season so far. we do it royally. How the same players can be so commanding in so many games and then throw one in like today every now and again I just can't fathom. It has ruined my day if I'm honest and kind of made it so I don't want to watch any replys or even other sport at the minute. I will get over it again I know but it does put the dampers on things.

The injuries do seem to be piling up which is a sort of follow on from previous seasons. Lets hope the disruption doesn't make the season go the same way again. We seldom seem to get a slight knock or a good outcome from a precaution. It always seems to be weeks and weeks when it happens.

With only two shots on goal it seemed a plan to early exit maybe, if so we cannot moan about lack of funds then <confused>

That's a bit of a conspiracy hp. Don't think this Board would even think of that to be honest. The stats reflect the effort and way we played yesterday. Crap from start to finish. And, by the way, I'm still hacked off with it.
