The last time we met Bolton was on a very wet and windy day and we ran out winners. They at the time were not on a very good run and we were. This time though they are on a very good run and we aren't doing too badly either. It's a hard one that's for sure, The Ref this time out isn't one that has flashed cards about willy nilly so stand by for a rash of yellow and hopefully not red. I don't personally see any reason why we should or must fear anyone this season. We are a good team and we have proved that over and over. We can win this one and I'm giving the Greens the go button to do it.

IF....we are serious about promotion this season we need to do better than just scraping into the play-offs.

We need to win games such as this against Bolton to show that we are seriously good enough to get automatic or promotion at Wembley through the play-offs.

I'm not saying that a defeat today will rule us out of the play-offs....but a win would help us target third or fourth position to get a more favourable draw in a semi-final and to get the second leg at home.

Our away record is one of the best in the division and to take a positive result back to Home Park would be helpful.

At Wembley we know that who ever turns up on the day can win promotion....the memory still lingers that although over 35,000 greens travelled there with hope last time ...the team were totally flat and made no serious attempt at winning against a Wimbledon team that had finished seventh in the last play-off position......at the end of the day it matters who is the form team at the end of proceedings.....we want it to be us.

If we could guarantee a play-off place now, I'll take it, no matter how scrappy.

Cooper, Grant, Gillesphey, Bolton, Wilson, Edwards, Mayor, Houghton, Broom, Hardie, Ennis.

    Subs
Burton, Garrick, Sessegnon, Randell, Camars, Jephcott. Crichlow.

Camara still on the bench why...is he carrying a knock at present.....he will miss games soon because of the international break.

Broom's been playing well in midfield and the man in possession. Nobody's guaranteed a place.

"IF we are serious about promotion" "we need to win games such as this against Bolton"

God you ain't half a pessimistic git aren't you. I will remind you that in the prediction thread yours was 13th at half way and 12th at the end or the other way around. YOU were not expecting promotion of any sort this season so to question whether we are good enough at all is a bit thick end. We have already proved we are a good team and have nothing else to prove to anyone. IF we get into the play offs then for me that is already a bonus no matter how it's done. I wasn't expecting it either. IF any side gets to Wembley for a final then it is a one off shoot out over one game for both sides. You don't have to be good with 12 games to go you have to be good once in that game.

As for Camara well notdistant is spot on. Broom deserves to keep the place and Camara will have to win it back. If Broom had been pants then an argument could be made to question it.

Strong start from Bolton but Argyle have grown into it and dominated towards the end of the half. Hardie is being a menace. Against a much bigger side, Gillesphy heads home from a corner.

Optimistic?????????????? You have a great big capital "IF" in there and if I continued your second quote it went on to say we had to win games like this to show we are good enough. No we don't we have "ALREADY" shown we are by the season so far. That is optimistic or indeed reality not questioning them. Try smiling sometimes and you never know things might look a bit more rosey.

Bolton are man-marking Jordan Houghton in the 2nd half giving them the upper hand. This is where I wonder if bringing on Randell alongside Houghton would trump that change.

Cooper makes a last ditch save to maintain Argyle's lead. Under the cosh now but holding out.

Having said that, Bolton are pressing so far up the pitch that Ennis & Hardie are 2 on 2 with the defence: one good ball and it's 0-2.

Bolton down to 10 men: a player injured and all subs used.

Jephcott and Hardie close the game with late-late goal attempts. A gutsy, militant away performance. Back into the play-offs, 10 games to play, 2 more than some around us. Going to get a beer.
