Sorry Sensible but John Eustace's departure from Blackburn Rovers was finalised this morning. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/blackburn-rovers
Hazard, Hardie, Wright, Bundu, Puchacz, Gyabi, Randell, Katic, Sorinola, Talovierov, Palsson. Subs Grimshaw, Mumba, Ogbeta, Houghton, Szucs, Boateng, Tijani, Al Hajj, Baidoo. Strong team and bench.
2-0.....F/T Forshaw...55mins Dolan...78mins Typical ex-player scoring. Missed Hardie... off early on with a back injury. Still above Luton.
Disappointing result but we can't expect to win them all. Cardiff and Hull only got a single point while Luton, Stoke and Derby lost, so it could be worse.
Injuries return again....Hardie looks as if he'll miss a game or two.....a bit of a disaster seeing that he has scored five goals recently....who will score for us if he is out. A genuine 6 pointer coming up at Luton mid week....they held their own until the dying moments against Sheff U....and Cooper is supposed to have stopped a great Luton chance before they went behind. Today a point would have been a bonus....but 3pts at Luton is a big requirement if we're going to stay in this league.
Just watched the 12 minute highlights and Miron Muslic's after match interview. He gives a very fair assessment I think. Blackburn started very strongly and we had to weather a 15 or 20 minute storm but then got more into the game. Where he and I disagree is that he says that Foreshaw "scored a beautiful goal". I think it came to him around the near post area and with no sight of the goal, he hooked it back over his head in the hope someone at the back post would bundle it in. Instead, it crept in at the far post unaided. He hasn't scored for 9 years apparently and that one was just blind luck. That doesn't help us though. We put on another out-and-out striker, Tijani on and Wright off, but then conceded another, this time with some obviously poor marking at the edge of the 6 yard box. Based on 12 minutes, it's not quite as bad as you might imagine: for perhaps half a game, straddling half time, we were in it, but lost it to one fluke and one mistake.
Watched the goals and I also think the first goal was not totally meant and more good luck than anything else. I don't think he had much clue where it was going.
