Having had a bit of a scout around it looks like we could, at this stage anyway, be short of a couple of players tomorrow. One is Mellor who went off with a dead leg on Saturday and the other is McHugh. They might be fit to play but at this stage it isn't clear. Out of the two I hope McHugh is the one who becomes available rather than Mellor if I had to choose but Mellor started very brightly on Saturday until sold short with a pass which got him the injury.

Barnet are coming off the back of a couple of good results for them so this isn't any sort of gimee game for sure. We seem to have done a bit of a reverse with home and away form of late where at home we have won a couple and away we have drawn. It was sort of the other way around before or seemed it anyway. Have to back them for a result but it's gonna be hard again. There are again a number of games tomorrow which are equally hard for the others in contention so even a point wouldn't be the end of the world.

It would be nice to be able to say maximum points in every game hp but it's unfortunately not that realistic. I want them to but getting carried away is only going to lead to disappointment and I've had too much of that at Argyle over the years. None of these games are easy. We've had teams at Home Park who have looked like world beaters and have done us for the result. They then trot off home and lose to a bottom 2 side in the next match. It's bleddy weird is what it is.

That's what I like about you Joe. Forever the optomist even in the darkest days. I'll vote for that even though I think it's a longshot. We went to my son's for dinner on Sunday and were watching the Man U v Arsenal game. He is a traitor who subscribes to that evil place Sky. I have to watch whilst I'm there or it would seem impolite. For the only time in my life I was wishing MU to win because of Leicester and how much I want them to stuff the mega rich clubs in the rear. My Mrs bless her said "If you love Leicester so much why didn't you bet on them at the start?" I bleddy wish I had. Now that's a longshot that has got a whole lot shorter.

Back page of the WMN quotes Adams saying he won't play McHugh unless he's 100% fit. This is very wise as McHugh has been an unsung hero all season and we don't need a long term injury, plus he's on 9 yellow cards I think and has to avoid taking another before the slate is wiped clean sometime in March. He has to play if fully fit but otherwise it's a game out of the referees' black book.

Yes Sensible, i think you are right with the leicester thing but i am backing Spurs.. I have to as that is the place my family came from.. But it will be a hard task.. My lad goes every game as he is in Uni at London and joined the St Johns ambulance service Voluntary and gets to watch all home games at spurs.. he has music at the o2 and other events he can se if he does his bit .. Not a bad thing.. But it would be nice to see some one other than the mega rich win it.. Just think a few years ago holow head was at Leicester and got them relegated ,, now look .. nice to see.. may be us one day

Well not exactly an action packed first half it seems except in the treatment room. Argyle have lost Forster and Brunt in the first half. The first with a head injury and the second with a ham string I think. No goals although it appears Barnet aren't exactly firing on goal. Cue and onslaught second half for saying that. We do not need to be losing players right now, All the others who matter to us are winning I think so great night so far all round. 14 minutes extra time in first half so head injury must have been a good one.

Only consolation is Leicester are 2 - 1 up (chucked that in for Joe).

No not great to say the least. Only consolation for the evening is Accrington also lost. Had they won tonight it would have seemed an awful lot worse.

Who the feck is this Madpuppy brb keeps on about? He keeps putting laughy things after the post but as I don't know who he is on about it's kind of lost on me.

Even worse news from tonight. First indications are that Forster has a broken jaw and Brunt has a cruciate ligament injury. That as they say should be that for both players pretty much for the season. It's a good job I don't swear.

A bad bad night by the sounds of it......it looks like Forster's loan could be over and if Brunt has his injury confirmed tomorrow etc then we're definately in trouble.

Goals are needed from somewhere.....our defence cannot do it by themselves.......Reid's last goal was so long ago it's beyond memory.

Nardiello needs to come up to speed soon.....if not we're in the market for a foreward and a defender.

Will James Brent make funds available to fill the gaps that are appearing in our small squad.

If Accrington had won tonight automatic promotion would have been looking well dodgy.

Saturday is now a huge game against Oxford .....who are scoring goals to spare.....their goal difference is now seven better than us and has pushed us down to third.

Derek Adams has work to do to get this team winning games again.....he will need to work a few miracles to get us promoted in the next few weeks.

I'm never full of confidence where Argyle are concerned having been sold a dummy so many times in their history. But, on reflection having had a swig or two from the bottle, we are still in a reasonable condition. Beat Oxford on Saturday and at worst draw with Accrington when we play them and we are still well placed. Sounds simple enough doesn't it.

Reuben Reid's last goal was on the 17th Oct......the 1-0 win at home to Accrington......since then after an injury he has played 10 times ,either starting or coming on as a sub.......without Brunt being available.... he now needs to start scoring.....or we will not get automatic promotion......I don't fancy our chances in the play-offs.

Reid scored 41 in the two previous seasons: you don't lose that overnight but he needs a run of games to get restarted. He did though have Alessandra as a strike partner and Adams has to look again at a single striker with only Carey backing him up through the middle. Carey is a great player but a midfielder rather than a striker, plus he's neither the biggest nor the strongest.

Gutted at Forster's injury. That's the trouble with playing pissant clubs with pissant support in pissant stadiums. I can't beleve a 6 foot strip between the white line and the hoardings is safe given the speed of the game and the ferocity of the tackling and by the live accounts, the medical support was very slow to arrive.

Have tickets for Oxford: all can be redeemed but we need to find a way to take more of the chances we make.

In a word "Nardiello" or however you spell it. You brought him in Mr Adams so give him a start.

Do you think he's fit for 90 minutes at age 33 and not having played since the 2014/15 season?
