Ok so that's the US open over for another year. A bit strange this year with all the rain - seemed more like Wimbledon lol. Unfortunately as I don't have Sky Sports channels I was unable to watch the important matches but my verdict on what I've seen during and since Wimbledon and read of the US is as follows: Djokovic has proved that winning Wimbledon was no fluke and his world ranking would seem to be accurate. His game has improved immensely especially during the last 12 months or so. I believe that both Nadal and Federer are now playing second fiddle to Djokovic. Andy Murray is even behind that. I also think that should Djokovic pick up an injury and Murray be playing at his best then this is the only scenario (providing he can beat Nadal & Federer) that will see him pick up a slam trophy as Andy's rightful place is at the top of the smaller tournaments, I'm not knocking this as it's an acheivement in itself but I think that's as good as it gets and I believe he has either reached or is nearing his peak right now. Roll on the Aussie Open.
