I get the impression the senior players have pretty much taken full control. Then again, he reckons he doesn't need the players.

It's Terry and Lampard. The pair of them fecked up Capello and the World Cup for England. That is the real reason Capello came out on the side of John Terry recently ... because he couldn't face the consequences if he agreed with Terry losing the captaincy. Terry and his mates would have shafted him at the Euros. In the end he bottled it and resigned.

That could be good news, if its a draw, it will give him more time to screw them up.

He needs to drop the old guard out of the squad completely but cant as he has to rely on them.

Eamon - cappello only supported terry with the captaincy as he didn't want his partner or any of his family fertilised by terry.
personally, I want to see avb take cfc as far as he can............preferably to the conference..........

I don't like Chelsea, but I'm sure someone posted a good argument for them going all the way in the cup - something about them putting out their 2nd team to play us in the league at Stamford bridge. We're so poor at the minute, we need all the help we can get!

That was me, it puts you in a horrible position of wanting them to do well.

Its a bit like Saints needing Pompey to win to help them stay up....and Pompeys own fans celebrating a loss as it meant Saints went down.

As said before, he wanted an issue of principle he could resign over......and he did.

On the otherside. I want Chelsea to do as well as possible in everything but the league...to be as stretched as they can be and not have much interest in beating us (after that match I will resume my usual stance on the matter)...Up u Rs

Interesting article in this mornings Daily Telegraph, stating abramovich had stipulated the next 2 games were must wins, a draw ah home against brum not a good start and napoli I think mid week in CL. Hiddink has gone to that anhski metallurgic or whatever they're called for £8m but has a July break clause.... AVB needs to break the ageing side up but won't be given enough time

Exactly, its not him thats the problem they need to get rid of Drogba, Terry and Lampard as they are running things. Changing managers will only prolong the process but the morons singing for Mourinho dont understand that.

Must be hard for 'JT' and Fat Frank, one minute you're hobnobbing with a billionaire on his super yacht the next you're being axed by a spotty teenager in a fully buttoned mac who crouches throughout games. Too much player power im pleased to say

Having said that Wenger is also up against it. Usmanov pushing for a 30% shareholding in the club which enables him to open the books and call a few shots. A season outsde CL places will see him gone IMO

He needs them out of the club completely, not just out of the squad, their influence is destroying any future. Can't believe that Abramovich can't see that.

Thats what I meant, they all have to go. Cech is also a shadow of a goalie that he used to be as well. Anything they do will just be patching up the holes. They should bite the bullet and do it this summer however I want the circus to go on as long as possible for its entertainment value.

Something we can agree on. Long may the circus continue. <laugh>

So many hubristic fans with an overbearing and undue sense of self-entitlement. Now if only we can find a chairman to match.

    <laugh> <laugh> <laugh>

Chelsea the gift that keeps on giving. AVB has to stay....please Roman. <laugh>

Doesn't matter whether he goes or not tbf. Abramovich in his stupidity and arrogance, contains the seeds of his own (and Chelsea's) self-destruction. Thank you Roman.

    (fao Yappy. <laugh>)

Since I first saw him I've always considered him to be a nerdy professor-type. He'd be better suited to working in a sperm-donor laboratory doing the genetic engineering, come to think of it he could try creating a version of Torres that actually scores!...<laugh>

Still think he's a dead man walking...
