Vardy - told you it wasn't a gamble!

I have given Walshy the names of all of those who disagreed with me on this forum ... he will be looking to have 'words' with you (and he is a man of few) at our first home game ...

 

Spending 7M on Nicky Maynard, 6.5M on Nikica Jelavic and 7M on Shane Long was a gamble. Vardy is only 1M while its alot for a non league players its not alot to us. Even if he only scores 10 goals then he will be worth it

 

Oh how I wish that 6.5m bid for Jelavic came through.

That guy was clearly worth it.

 

Looking back now he probably would of been more then worth it but at the time he was a massive gamble. He scored goals for fun in the SPL but could he cut it in the championship who knows. Kris Boyd failed at Boro and he is the all time top scorer in the SPL.

But Jelavic has proved his class at Everton now. Oh well win some lose some

 

There was a clear difference in class with Boyd and Jelavic.

 

Well I am glad thats sorted then

 

boyd is scottish though, its the scottish footballers who tend to fail, not the ones from scotland.

 

£1 million is nowt really and I'm sure he'll score providing our midfield actually turn up next season!

 

Although he was injured alot Andy King really struggled in front of goal by his standards.
