according to the BBC, he will turn down £120k a week to go to Arsenal, and take Leicester's £100k a week improved offer. The numbers are stupid, but good for him, as a 29 year old, turning down an even bigger pay check to stay somewhere he has done something special, and good for Leicester for turning down £20m on a £1m investment, speaks volumes for their ambition. And who knows, may help them keep Mahrez and Kante.
I think he knows that at Leicester the team is set up to play to his strength, where they sit back and then hit out quick on the counter using his pace. At Arsenal most teams park the bus and sit deep, it may be much more difficult for him to use his pace as a weapon. He's probably strung the Arses along to get a better offer from Leicester but ultimately probably made a wise decision...
Yes, good on him if true and he stays If there were a few more like him not completely sold out to the pound then would be great for the likes of us! Mind you thinking about it we just don't have any money so cancel out what I just typed abouv Anyway whatever he does you can bet he has a clever off shore tax avoidance scheme so he will be ok!
I can't see Arsenal playing to his strengths anyway, much better off staying at Leicester and fair play to him. Mind you, I'm not sure I'd be too fussed about the difference between £100k and £120k a week either.
I really think Leicester had a great but never to be repeated season and they will be lucky to finish in the top 10 this next campaign.
Depends on whether they keep their best players and bring in a few more of quality, I think they'll be challenging again as many of the other top clubs have some serious rebuilding to do...
Good for him, what's an extra stg£1,040,000 going to do to for him, after all how many Bentleys can a person drive at one time?
