The Premier Leagues top goalscorer signs a new contract with the Premier League leaders.

    Sounds good, doesn't it!?

No need for him to move any where else really. We are, so others keep saying, title contenders & look really good for a CL spot. plus now he must be on a prem wage so, yeah, why go.

In the summer we should be looking to get alot more players on new contracts. Kante, Mahrez, Drinkwater, Schmeichel and Albrighton all deserve better terms if we make the Champions league never mind winning the league

Love what he said about the spirit of everyone in the club, must be stunning to be part of such a ride. I now how I feel and I am 'just a supporter'.

Genuinely thought he would move when the big money clubs come sniffing - good on the lad.

Vardy "Leicester have shown nothing but total faith in me since the day I arrived and it's impossible to measure how much that belief has helped me to improve.

"I'll forever be grateful for the investment the club has made in me and I'll spend every day working to repay it."

Good lad. Doesn't sound like he'd want to go anywhere else. We gave him a chance & he sticking with us <applause>

Ive always said i couldnt see Vardy leaving. He is very grounded due to how he entered the game and I think he understands he will have a very short career compared to other players. He is at a club where suits him down to the ground and everyone loves him. Plus he is on the verge of cementing his place as a club legend

Totally agree, Proud. Vardy is only effective in a team that plays quick or counter attacking football, which is exactly what we do. We don't faff around passing the ball aimlessly backwards and sideways. And, credit to Vardy, he realises this and hasn't chosen to go and chase even bigger money elsewhere and risk ending up on the bench. He just wants to play football and use his best assets - absolutely brilliant for us.

And it's his style of play that will probably mean he won't be effective in the Euros, because Roy would have to change the whole mindset and game plan of the England team (as well as bring in players like Drinkwater), and that just isn't going to happen. At the moment the Barcelona way is in vogue at international level in Europe, and England will try and play it and fail miserably because we don't have the ability.

... don't wholly agree (unusual for one of your posts) in that I think Vardy has more to his game now ... I honestly tink that Kane and Vardy could form a very effective strike partnership for England, particularly if Ross Barkley is pulling the strings in the midfield ... he would spot the Vardy runs and put him in accordingly ... the problem for Woy is that he will be tempted to set the team up to play with Rooney as centre forward ... and we will inevitably fail on the top stage as we have done when Rooney was in his prime ...

... on Vards signing a new contract - brilliant.

Honestly, no matter what happens this season, no matter how many goals Vardy scores, no matter how poorly Rooney is playing...

England will start the first game at the Euros with Rooney upfront <doh>

For Vardy, at best he'll be out on the left wing...

And it's for that reason, that I have given up with England a long time ago. It's tragic, such a shame...

He will get picked, but he'll never be used properly.

Even though our strategy has got us top of the league, Woy will play LVG's boring possession football because (for some reason) he thinks its our best chance, even though plenty of other sides do it better.

Can you imagine if England actually went for it, and played the way Leicester play?

    It would be absolutely fantastic!

However, we're much more likely to see a Man Utd performance than a Leicester one this summer...

I agree that Vardy has more to his game now, and a strike partnership of him and Kane would certainly be more entertaining to watch (if the supply was there from midfield), but it would mean having to leave out Lord Wayne of Rooney, and that will never happen. In fact there's more chance of a team being bottom of the Prem one year and top of the Prem the following year! Come on, Fosse; pull yourself together man, you're lapsing into the world of fantasy! <doh>
