Last night Jamie Vardy took some criticism for Cardiff equaliser for not closing down the crosser. Me personally I don't understand how he keeps getting on the pitch. Nigel needs to be careful that his faith in Vardy doesn't cost him his job. Vardy is largely ineffective as a striker and defensively a liability. He nearly cost us big time against Boro if it wasn't for Kasper's brilliance. He doesn't even come close to scoring now and he isn't even getting into goalscoring positions like he was at the start of the season.

Then there is Waggy. Very hit and miss but on his day arguably a better footballer then Nugent. Waggy's set pieces are a very good weapon to have as proven numerous times this season. When Waggy got the run in the side before Christmas he was our best player. When he is in and out the side his form is very inconsistent but given a run he would be very good. Whether he will score enough goals to get in ahead of Nugent remains to be seen but I think Waghorn and Wood would make a good partnership

So it gets me wondering why Nigel brings Vardy on ahead of Waggy sometimes when Waggy is a miles better player

So who do you prefer Vardy or Waghorn?

100% Waghorn! I am afraid to say that Vardy was worth the gamble, but it as just not paid off! and he should have been moved out on loan.
I agree he is a liability in a City shirt. Nigel has his favorites, and very stubborn, IMO We should have got a ball winning midfield player in the last
window! we roll over and die when the going gets hard, and this could cost us promotion and Nigel is job!

Took the words right out of my mouth!

Would be happy to give Wagorn a run of a few games, it's what he needs to be able to perform at his highest level. He was quality when he got a run earlier in the season.

Some players are suited to the super-sub role (Solskjaer, Hernandez...), others just can't get in to a game when they are only given a 20 minute stint here and there.

    Waggy is definitely the latter.

Waghorn has reverted back to the crap he was last season but he is an actual winger so should have gone on imho.

Vardy had nothing to do with the goal.

People just rip him to shreds if ever he's on the pitch and we concede.

Waghorn is a better player, and Vardy just isn't good enough. But he's done nothing to deserve the hate he got on Twitter last night.

Neither, both are a waste of time at the moment, if they both left in the summer that would be fine by me.

When your looking for an equaliser or winning goal, why do these 2 come on!

The only argument I can see is that Vardy will run around a lot when he comes on and generally give the opposition a bit of a headache. They're different strikers- Waghorn's more of a creative, support striker. Seems incredible that when Nugent was injured earlier this season we played both of them!

    Can I shoot them both?

I'd ask them to shoot each other but the useless fookers are bound to miss!
