https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...dy-retires-england-gareth-southgate-leicester Basically has said that as he isn't a starter, he will step aside but if England calls, he will answer. Good to hear as a Leicester fan.
Good news, he has never been appreciated at that level by the FA, managers of supporters outside of Leicester at that. Glad his focus will be on us
He never looked comfortable playing for England, almost as if he didn't believe he ought to be there. I don't think he ever did himself justice, so I'm glad he won't be involved any more.
I for one am sad as he England something different a plan B. I could never turn my back on my country and still haven't (Ha-ha) but understand why he has done it. He was never able to play his natural game for England if Harry was on the field they would always pass to Harry and never seemed too passed to him. England midfield was not setup to get the best out of Vardy! Sad day though!
Still Slab head can fly the Leicester flag Maddison, Chilwell and Gray could always be in the England squad before the season is over
Deserves more credit from the wider football world than he gets. Still we have seen him at his best and will continue to do so. Made a decent fist of a very unexpected England career. Well done that man.
