I dont know. I'm sure Utd will manage his injuries better than we did. They also have the strength in depth to rotate and rest him more often so that's in his favour.
I think that my op was more about other clubs protection of their players and puuling them out of inconvenient internationals with convenient jnjuries. We/Wenger never seem to do this and often suffer the consequences. I really dont care one way or another about RVP any more, he was just an example.
Think we did with Walcott this week. Also, there are reports that Roy wanted to call up AOC, but the club told him that he is not fit enough, despite playing against Fulham and looking ok. So at least we stopped those two from getting called up.
Thank **** for that. Is there anyway that we can feign an injury for Santi, I heard that he's off to play a ****ing friendly against Panama and will miss the Spuds game
Think he is already there. Unless he gets injured, I doubt he will miss the game, but can't see him being at his best, though.
Only if gets injured, but can't see him being at his best after travelling all that way. Maybe, Wenger might not start him, but then I suspect he will get slaughtered for that by the fans.
I guess this is a problem that all clubs have to suffer - scheduling internationals must be a nightmare - not a job I would want to have to do to be frank. The England manager needs to see his players in action with his tactics, but clubs also need to be protected from potentially losing their highly expensive assets. I'm afraid I dont have an answer, just a moan, to be honest.
