Whilst delighted with the season overall, it has exceeded all expectations, but it's fair to say that a few of us have been a little frustrated with our recent lethargic performances, the link shows exactly what it has cost us as taking just one extra point in the last few games could have earnt the club an extra £2.4M, that's the equivalent of 2 players on 25k a weeks wages paid.

I kind of agree, we could've done with the money, what with all the Ffp bollocks flying around. If you take the Fa Cup out the equation, we've had a pretty poor end to the season. Yeah we achieved our goal, but we hardly did it with any style or panache. It almost seems like the players and management thought that the Cup performance would smooth over the cracks of our league run. It hasn't.

No sorry you're both wrong boys, Bruce summed it up yesterday, the players knew a few games back that we were pretty much safe barring some incredible results from the teams below us. Because of that the players were I agree were not giving 100% because nobody wants an injury risking missing the biggest game of their life. My son summed it up for me while we were watching the Everton game, at the level most of our players have played at through their career they could never have dreamt they would be in an FA cup final, so nobody is risking injury. I don't blame them.

Guess some fans wont like how we have played since the FAC semi but it has been the BEST SEASON EVER - FACT.!!!!

So 16th - 37pts and never in any real danger of going down. Safe since the Swansea home win on 5th April.

The PL is now something to look back on with pride and yet some frustrations. But something that we can improve on and focus on again come August time.

    BEST SEASON EVER. End of.

It would have been good to have got that extra £2.4m in the bank, it was there for the taking; however the money made from The Cup Run (c£6M) exceeds what an extra point in the league was worth!

Apparently most of that money has already gone, whereas the PL money we receive in the close season. Hopefully we can recoup that with some prize money from the Europa League, which is as follows:

    First qualifying round: €120,000
    Second qualifying round: €130,000
    Third qualifying round: €140,000
    Play-off round elimination: €150,000
Base fee for group stage: €1,300,000
    Group match victory: €200,000
    Group match draw: €100,000
    Group winners: €400,000
    Group runners-up: €200,000
    Round of 32: €200,000
    Round of 16: €350,000
    Quarter-finals: €450,000
    Semi-finals: €1,000,000
    Losing finalist: €2,500,000
    Winners: €5,000,000
