gained yesterday ,and to be fair to Yeovil this coming Tuesday ,we should secure all points ,which will prove invaluable come the end of the season ,whatever end of the table we find ourselves .Good to see this week we were able to score more than we conceded ,long may it continue ..
Very good 3 points that. Lose that game, and we had made a quite worrying start to the season. " gained yesterday ,and to be fair to Yeovil this coming Tuesday ,we should secure all points " I live quite near Yeovil, and they are nowhere near as bad as people say. They will not be pushovers Tuesday at all, however, with them playing 55 minutes away at Sheffield Wednesday with 10 men, very good chance of 3 points me thinks! COYB
Not just a great three points but a great performance. Superlative movement and finishing for the goals. And Posh look like they have unearthed quite a player in Assombalonga, wouldn't mind seeing him alongside McGoldrick.
I would rather have Nahki Wells from Bradford as a partner for Didsy but when our owner only spends a proxy 20k on transfers i can't see us bringing any one in!
Goldy is worth about a million i don't care the amount we lay out as long as the players in are decent......Its not about the price tag. And i agree come January when we are top six ME will back MM if he wants to splash out.......but i doubt we will need anyone...
Yesterday's game and against Yeovil were/are vital we get all points. A win against Yeovil will get us top 10. A place where we need to stay and then be consistent and hopefully push on. Westy like you I'm near Yeovil and there not the total pushovers we may have thought. Weighty I hope we are top 6 come January and the need for ME money may not be necessary but if MM wants/needs further investment I hope he gets backed to the hilt.
Murphy has not had much credit for yesterdays performance. For me he was loading the gun whilst Didsy was firing the bullets, for as poor as Nouble was 1st half Murphy was excellent 2nd, clearly made the difference & for me ran Didsy close for MOM. Lot of positives from yesterday, back 5 looks solid, Anderson is looking better each time I see him, we have uncovered a rough gem in Tunnicliffe, he was very good yesterday, Skuse was solid and tireless in the middle, Hyam was good defensively, although wasteful to often with the ball though. Didsy...awesome display, he needs to stay fit or we will be struggling for goals.
Just returned from a weekend away with very little phone signal and have seen we started with Chambers, Berra and Smith. Which one played right back? To anyone who was at the game, how did the centre half play at RB? Is Hewitt just being rested or do you think he may be dropped for the next few games? As others have said, great result! I was with a Boro fan on Saturday so enjoyed it that little bit more...
Chambers was pretty solid defensively at RB but average going forward(as is to be expected for a centre half)but his heading ability meant he was useful for his goal.
I can see that diagonal cross from Cressy into Chambers at the back post being a dangerous play we can use in the future, maybe it's something they've already worked on in practice. It was a sound result and some great words said about the game by both managers. Mowbray was honest in defeat and gave us credit for being solid as well as asking questions of 'boro at the other end. Mick was smart in bigging Mcgoldrick up again with lines like "we're lucky to have him" obviously aimed at giving his top striker confidence and wanting to make him feel special. Mick has been waxing lyrical about David after every match, helping to boost his confidence. He's at a club that's really showing he's wanted and I'm sure we'll see that reflected in his performances. Nice one Mick
