From what I remember he was pretty useless for us. He was only young though, 19 I think and wasnt up to it phyically to play in the Championship.
He was ok, but only ok for us. Probably wouldv'e been better in the Prem where he may have got a bit more time to get his foot on the ball.
Showed signs of class, and then gave the ball away too easily - a bit like Taraabt can be at times, but without all the jaw dropping bits that make up for it...
It was never likely to work. He was physically weak, young, inexperienced and had never played in what is quite a unique league. He showed signs of being a cut above technically and was very good against Villa in the cup when he had more space and time than against the championship cloggers. It didn't help that everyone at the time wrote him off when he really needed a lot of encouragement.
