At least thats what Moyes must think. The absolute pile of ****ing gash has played more games this season and last season, than anyone else. Personally, not being a fan of whatever the **** a 'defensive winger' is, I think hes awful and offers literally nothing but perhaps I am being harsh. So what does the first name on the team sheet actually do ( besides everything badly ) and how bad must everyone else be to not take his place ( the truth is probably mnore to do with Moyes being clueless as Januzaj, Nani, Young and a dead gypo are better than valencia ).
Was one of our best players, and the best right winger in the league a couple of seasons ago. Nowadays though he looks a shadow of his former self, the only time I recall him having a good game this season was against Villa, but apart from that he's been poor
Agree with this, Valencia was almost unplayable a few years back. It's amazing how poor his crossing is now as before it was arguably the best around.
Agree with the posts above, he was class, would just beat the man down the outside and whip in a dangerous cross. Predictable but effective. Since his injury he can't beat that man anymore which puts him in a tough position as he never cuts inside, always goes outside but can't beat the man anymore. Predictable and ineffective.
Hes basically been given an automatic starting place. No matter how bad he is nor how good players who get the occasional game on the right wing do ( Januzaj, Nani, Young* ) he remains there. He must now believe that he doesnt need to put effort in because hes going to start the next game anyway. * Young is stretching it, but even Young is a better option than Valencia........
Exactly why Johnson is performing so ****e for us. He's gone from being a decent enough RB to a ****ing clown in 2/3 years.
True - but why the emphasis on Valencia? Has UnitedinRed got a personal axe to grind that we don't know about? Perhaps we should start a thread for each player currently off form? Alternatively, we should focus on the manager??
Because hes utter gash yet appears undroppable. hes been gash for 2 years now. Its nothing to do with form. Unlike everyone else he seems to have unlimited chances while others get no chance at all. Makes no sense at all, he offers nothing, his entire game is based on him being able to do one thing and thats something he cannot do anymore. He cant cross, he offers nothing in defence and even less in attack. When our game doesnt go through Valencia we look much better. Januzaj and Kagawa showed us what we can do if we dont play valencia. I would like us to play to our strengths, something like this would give us far more control and far more thrat in attack januzaj - Kagawa - Nani In behind the striker with 2 hold CM players. I wouldnt expect any to stay ridged and hug the touchline. Interchange, cause mayhem and look like a Manchester United team. Of course that wont happen because valencia is not allowed to be dropped for his shocking performances the past 2 years.
And whose fault is that?? Does Valencia choose the team? Moyes is obviously not in agreement with you, so what does that say about Moyes?
Because Valencia plays in Nanis position and UIR loves Nani- proper man love Plus, don't get UIR started on Moyes...
Hes very old school and doesnt want to adapt to the more modern style of football. Fergie was similar except that he did drop valencia at times.
Nani is miles better though. Which says something about valencia because nani has been pretty **** the past 2 years. To be fair though hes played 11 games or something like that compared to the 40+ valencia has played.
I like your line up Unitedinred, I was very surprised to see Kagawa dropped for the Chelsea game after he played really well once switched to a more central position against Swansea. Nani is abit of a maverick, and is worth giving a run in the team with the way Valencia is playing
The problem with Kagawa is that he doesn't get 'stuck in' when the going gets tough. That's true of Nani to a lesser extent, but he does show quality more than Valencia, so I agree with both you and UIR.
The f**king problem yesterday was that we were like bloody Swansea. We were ok until we reached the 3rd part of the pitch. That is our attacking force was rank. Welbeck and Hernandez couldn't replace RVP and Rooney and our midfield as we always knew couldn't match that of the chavs. If we were entirely honest and stopped foaming at the mouth, we could have predicted the result. Going there with our best team with Fergie would have been touch and go and a point will be welcome. But going there with the ****tiest team we've had for a while (worse than the ******ed scousers even), there can only be one result unless the chavs all had an off day. So just accept the defeat and let us especially our younger fans and the f**king media stop pretending to be astounded by the result. Just lucky it was Maureen and his "what we have we keep" attitude or else it could have 6-1 or 7 -1
