Will be out for 6 months in a bizarre accident - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2103405/Ever-Banega-hit-car.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

Valencia playmaker Ever Banega will be out of action for up to six months with a broken ankle after being run over by his own car!

Banega came a cropper after he failed to set the handbrake in his car at a petrol station and it rolled back and trapped his foot.

'Ever Banega has suffered an accident with his own car after training on Sunday when he received a trauma to his left leg that caused a fracture to his tibia and the perone bones,' Valencia said in a statement.

The club said the break had not been clean, the area was inflamed, and after hospital checks that surgery would take place on Monday.

'The period of recovery is estimated to be around six months,' the statement added.

The Argentina international, 23, had already been left out of the Valencia squad to visit Barcelona in La Liga on Sunday as he was struggling with a knee problem.

Valencia lie third in the standings and play Stoke City in a Europa League last-32 second leg next Thursday.

Sounds on a par with Lawrence "tripping" over his dog!

    Nope
    Wrong guys re Lawrence..
He fell off a ladder because he was cleaning the next door neighbour's windows for her.. PROBELEM was that her hubby came home early. The" I fell over my dog and fell down the stairs" excuse was for the newspapers only. <whistle> For the record.. Lawrence used to live next door but one to Phil the Power Taylor and Ric Fuller also lived close by.

Hope thet player from Valencia is OK. It's so stupid I think it's actually true myself.

Wouldn't happen to a Stoke player, he would try to trap the car - and miss
