Depends if it's a straight relegation clause he's got in his contract, not necessarily a finite figure. Would seem strange if it wasn't linked to some sort of figure, but you never know with the Malky/Moody contracts offered.
Interesting final point - "the players current low morale at the relegated club" Do they mean player's or players', i.e. Medel or everyone. Don't journos know how to use punctuation? I assume they mean Medel who is probably having a sulk while with his international team mates at the thought of playing in the Championship not the Prem. If everyone then that is bad news as I think most would have gone through the denial/rejection phase and are now being positive about the new season - those who are staying and the new arrivals anyway.
I'll put it down to bad punctuation. With the wages some of our players' are on, I don't understand how they can be demoralised.

is just speculation, he will either go to turkey or spain for me. we also need him to have a good world cup or it could be £5-6m, which is roughly what we should have paid for him in the first place. teams in spain have very little cash and i'd question whether they could even pay us £6m, probably would be spread over at least 3 years. on that basis i think a move to turkey is more likely…..
