From BBC website Former Tottenham and England defender Ron Henry has died at the age of 80. Left-back Henry played in the Spurs side that won the league and FA Cup double in 1961, the FA Cup in 1962 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1963. Henry, whose grandson Ronnie plays for League Two side Stevenage, made one appearance for England - in a 5-2 defeat by France in February 1963.
Great left back.Very unlucky to only get one cap. He scored a great headed goal......past his own goalie,Ted Ditchburn at Highbury in a 4-4 draw. Great full back combination of Peter Baker and Ron Henry. What a fantastic team.......

One of the more unsung heroes of the double side. But, a vital part of the great balance of that team, nonetheless.
Dont want to sound crass as a death is always sad but there is something fitting about our next 2 matches being at home against top teams...never saw him play but loved the role the 61 team had on our history. RIP
How sad, another member of our Glory, Glory team passed away. The memories left behind though are warm and wonderful. RIP Ron x
