I not Melissa reddy has stated she think mo salah would like to stay at anfield. (Lines up with my theory on his kids and wanting to not leave UK as he won't get visa again once he does go) She states is significantly that its not Sarah's job to go asking for a new contract. If lfc want to keep him then what not talk to him. I personally think salah knows he can take 500 to 1 million amd move his family to dubai but they will be educated as girls there. He won't go to Saudi and have them educate them.as Muslim girls. He wants them to continue schooling in the UK and needs to live here to do it. Once he breaks the visa He has he is then out and won't get a visa to come back unless he comes to pay for some other club In short the ball has been put firmly in Richard hughes' court.
He has an agent - they're not usually shy at pushing for a deal. One question amongst many is whether or not the club want him to stay for much longer. Personally I'd be keeping him on for a couple of years - like I've already said, I think he's less selfish and has matured into a good team player. But I'm not in charge and can only guess at what the medium term strategy is.
I don't think Salah wants to leave. He's never looked like he wants to leave. I don't know about visas or girl's education in Saudi but he's been outspoken about women's rights (as much as he can be, given his religion) and if that was the compromise for a move there, I don't think he'd take it. I think the gauntlet has been thrown down ...... gently.
There's no reason to let Salah go now. His leaving won't benefit us, and whereas his wage is super high (for us) we're realistically going to pay more to bring someone new in and pay them too. As long as he's not holding us to ransom, just give him a new deal... Just one or two years so little risk if he starts to fail. We know he's good, we don't know anyone new will hit the door running. Keep him.
Because of law of diminishing returns you cannot keep on the same wages when he 34/35. Let him go for free,
He won't be 33 until.next june so a 1 year contract would bring him to 34. So the club have now had a good look at where he is at right now off a summer off and rest and he's great. That's brilliant. They may just be looking to the African cup of nations that's every two years and seeing December 2025 and thinking that's bang smack in the middle of that one extra year and he was destroyed after it so we might do better elsewhere Or they could just be looking to the wage being too high. Who knows.
Maybe so. They'd be mad given one has an agent constantly trying to move him, one is made of glass, one is an idiot who's not too happy and then there's gakpo and chiesa.
I have to say that if Chiesa is able to stay fit and get to somewhere near his Euro 2021 level then we may have signed Salah's replacement already
Arne Slot impresses Roy Keane by explaining Liverpool tactics masterclass Arne Slot impresses Roy Keane by explaining Liverpool tactics masterclass - Liverpool.com
I'm sure Arne can retire happily now that he's managed to impress Roy Keane. Why would anyone be surprised? Slot is the head coach of one of the world's biggest clubs and Keane is a big gob.
I'm sure it's rather exaggerated headline. Slot basically said he read them like a book and just looked for the over loads. Goal 1 disallowed is Diaz in behind after good midfield run. Goal 1 proper is salah played in behind by again a midfield intercept and once cbs are drawn cos there's no full back it's linked over and guess what no full back with Diaz. He let's him go and can be seen trotting back still not even close to pen area. Goal 2 is full back not closing salah and cb not getting tight to Diaz. Just weak defending Goal 3 is simplicity itself. Full back up the park the lose it and salah is in. Dalot at least ran back as hard as he could then. It's pretty clear lfc saw how utd put too many forward of casemiro and just targeted that full back area for goals. Salah had a field day
