I know some on here were concerned that Slot would not be up to the job. I always like to give a manager/player time before I decide if they are up to the job. Slot has done well to date, but we have only played the lower to mid table teams. We can't really judge him until we have played bigger teams than we have to date such as Brighton, Fulham, Bournemouth, etc. Up to now he has done very well
I feel bad for Ten Hag... I actually don't think hes a bad manager... I just feel like United have got themselves caught in a spot where we were in the 90's where there is just a culture of not needing to succeed... No hunger.
He's done fantastic so far. Much more disciplined team. Granted, no disrespect to those we've played, but we haven't come across any one fighting for the title yet. Interesting to see how we do against City or Arsenal.
Even if he goes on to be a better manager than Klopp (jury still out... But so far I'm seeing improvements)... I don't think I'll ever like him as much as Klopp. Klopp was just an all-round excellent guy. I wish Slot would smile when we score a goal, or when he begrudgingly applauds the fans
I was being sarcastic, I think he has done a great job so far and I think when we are leading in a game I have more confidence we will close the game out than I did under Klopp
Erm. Salah has basically just admitted he's leaving at the end of the season. Said 'Last year at the club' didn't say anything about his contract running down
I’m hoping that was just a slip of the tongue, didn’t mean why he said but otherwise that’s a bummer lol
He's who he is, it's not his style to be huggy and smiley. If he keeps getting results I'm willing to overlook his less avuncular manner.
He did say we'll see what happens next year but nobody has talked to him regarding a new contract....
Klopp was a great bloke, but I think we need to set personalities aside. What would you prefer a manager who was a great bloke but the team comes second in all competitions, or a manager who has a less likeable personality but wins competitions. Benitez was hardly the life and soul of the party but did us proud. Ferguson was, and still is, an absolute cnut but won a lot of stuff for Utd
