I really think we should be using half – time more to our benefit. At the moment the players just muck around passing the ball around a bit but not really doing anything to their benefit. I think it could be of great benefit to us if we used one of the youth coaches for example to practice some shooting drills or do some 3 on 3 or 3 on 4 passing games during half time. When your at the top of the league then every little thing matters and just using those 10 – 15 minutes to our benefit could just get something little extra from the players. Alternatively they could maybe even talk through with the players possible tactics/ formations that might be used in the second half? Or if they don't want to do anything 'serious' then maybe have a corner of one of the stands where each player goes for 2 or 3 minutes and then anyone who want's something signed can go there when that player is there? What do you guys think?
patchy Great point ! I'd go further. JE ( and other managers ),undoubtedly uses the time to insert rockets into orifices. He will have words of wisdom and tactics for the second half. Why are the potential substitutes not a party to this team talk. They need to be in the dressing room to hear what advice is given to ALL the players.
