  9. The level of wummery has fallen drastically, since I hung up my wum-guns.

    Shame.

What's the view on Carroll. Didn't watch much of today's game but thought he was abysmal in the Portugal game. Will he make it?

Can Lingard show the women how to score? It seems they have missed the point of football.

  15. To be fair, though, G4E, you could substitute "Chelsea" for any team that you don't like or support. So, it's not really that clever, is it?

That joke takes me back to Euro 96. Frank Skinner did a sketch on his programme where some German and English supporters met in a coach park, and decided to play a game of football. They both went into their coaches to put kit on etc. when they came out, all the Germans were wearing the same shirt. It had number 11 on it and the name Kuntz, who was of course a member of the German Euro 96 squad.

I resisted using Spurs as I detest Chelsea more

  18. What's to detest about Spurs? We're a club that's trying to do business in the right way, and win glory without selling the club's soul to the mafia money-men.

That's to be lauded, not detested.

For once I agree with you, Spurs try to play football the "right way" and try to achieve trophies using the resources that they earn without using Russian Mafia money, and that's why I detest Chelsea whereas I dislike Spurs as you are our traditional rivals. I would rather Spurs win the league than Chelsea but that isn't likely to happen any time soon

Joe Lewis has helped bankroll Spurs with his own / ENIC money.
