Wood is gone, long live Leeds ... now of course it's vital that the Burnley money is used effectively to strengthen the squad ... we are being heavily linked with these strikers right now PIERRE-MICHEL LASOGGA (HSV) he's been discussed at length on here already, but his wages are massive so a deal will need to be agreed with HSV ... if he does come it will be with a fee attached if we get promoted, can't see us signing him permanently next season if we don't go up ... has been on the fringes of the Germany setup, but hasn't shone in a struggling HSV team ... still only 25 so can become a good player for Leeds ... UNSURE, WILL NEED TO TRUST ORTA ON THIS ONE RUDY GESTEDE (Boro) this is one player I really don't want us to sign ... Villa wasted a bundle on him when he was at Blackburn, and they were only too pleased to see Boro come knocking with a fistful of dollars in January ... Boro wasted £6m on him, and if they can sell him to Leeds then Monk will be delighted ... the link is being made because he was signed while Orta was there, but Orta actually wanted Jese on loan from PSG (yes, the same Jese who scored Stoke's winner against Arsenal on Sat) ... Gibson blocked Jese's move as he wanted a striker with Prem experience ... Orta should have seen enough of Gestede to realise he is very limited and isn't suited to Tommy's total football ... STAY AWAY JAY-ROY GROT (NEC Nijmegen) wow, this 19-year old Dutch lad would be an awesome signing ... I saw him play at the Junior Euros and he is a fcuking beast, standing 6'3" and built like a heavyweight boxer ... he is very quick, is technically sound and scored a sweet goal ... he played on the right as Holland had another quality lad wearing the nine shirt ... Grot would easily fit into the Leeds style of play with his movement and touch ... I'd be very pleased if we got him, even if it was as a prospect ... he is playing in the Eredivisie already, so he can cope ... SIGN AT ALL COST right now I can't really think who I'd like to see us bring in besides Grot ... didn't believe Grot would be available, or if he was he'd go to a big European club ... Jordan Rhodes and Hugill from Preston have been mentioned, but again can't see them fitting in with Tommy's way ... let's see what the management team come up with, hopefully they get it right again ... Grot's name being linked is a big surprise, but dang he's an exciting surprise Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Chuba Akpom from Arsenal is a name I've seen mentioned a few times but Celtic are chasing him. Jordan Hugill isnt what we need as far as I'm concerned although he seems to be improving but another Wood type without his record Jordan Rhodes isnt good enough, is disruptive in the dressing room as can be seen at Midds then Wendies. Not been played so not scoring.needs 4-4-2 only Rudy Geastede had 1 good season playing with Rhodes where he knocked the ball down for Rhodes to score. Needs 4-4-2 only Jay-Roy Grot looks the dogs also looks like he can do a Tommy role as a battering ram, chasing back, mobile in a 3 or a 2 or a 1 up top, he seems to have it all. Tomas the Real Madrid player who has been out on loan for a couple of seasons. Scores, looks mobile Laggosa scores but looks a lot like another Wood. Remains to be seen what happens here but if we get him he only costs £1.7m at the end of the season. Thats a no brainer for his quality as his goals have all been done in the top German league. Wages a problem but if he wants a role with abig club..... No doubt none of the above will coming and we will see someone straight out of left field. We know the cash is going to be used and probably from abroad where 2 good quality strikers can be had for the Wood money. Or we can get Lassoga and use £13m in the Jan window as we only need £2m for him
What's the chances of us signing a top striker and a left winger? Was thinking that we have alioksi and saiz but no one is currently nailing down that LW spot with Roofe failing to impress so far, Hernandez is now injured although he's not an out and out LW, Dallas looks to be playing himself into the team but I'm unsure he's the best option. Also, just said on another thread. I really want us to go for Zohore from Cardiff
Best holding midfielder at the club & probably the league is Klich, so hoping he get in soon which would mean O'Kane or Phillips moving out or keeping all 3 on with Phillips slightly forward as an option but 4-3-3 with Saiz, Alioski & newbie
What I like this season is that we are starting to have many permutations and options, TC impressed me with his pre and post match interviews at Sunderland, it was much better than hearing weasel face Monk say the same over and over again, "we are a young side and learning all the time" boring twat, at least TC seems to be settling in to the Championship, well time will tell.

Ringo has a point. At least Leeds signings can found easily on Google. Nillwalls targets require a bit more effort through findatrade.com
The dressing room must be packed every game with all them translators trying to keep the conversations going.
apparently Leeds have put in a bid for Grot, really hope we get him ... relieved Boro want to keep Gestede, he's a fcuking donkey, so hopefully Leeds walk away real quick and focus elsewhere Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
