not sure if it's been mentioned anywhere else. But did anyone see the way the coppers handled the trouble after the game?? Thought itwas going to be udders all over again. A load of them had stayed in Walton club and not gone to the game. They all came out pissed as we were all leaving goading fans going home, dads wi kids women etc two cop vans full of coppers sat there watching. ****ing disgrace. I had to shove one of the ****s out of the way as he wouldn't move. Then one little bastard hit an old bloke. Another copper came and actually chased him. While the ****ers in the van sat there. Dunno if it got worse after that. Anyon else see it?
please log in to view this image they always do nothing - unless you're doing 71 in a 70mph limit, they're not interested
I saw that coming out..Sundland 'fans' who had been allowed to stay in that pit of a club on Walton street, coming out to get the coaches back, some of them were so pissed they could hardly stand... Shouting abuse to City fans coming across the car park ..A van full of coppers about 20 yards away doing '£uck all' except look at their pay packets. I watched a bit of pushing and shoving then moved off. I don't know if it kicked off big-time.
Not surprised in the least...Saw the whole Huddersfield fiasco years ago. The reluctance to do anything at times is piss poor especially when kids are around
What would you want them to do? If they all got out it could become a brawl and even worse. As I left the ground there was a flare up at the away and and the officers there blocked the path out to separate the idiots. Was remarkably effective and quick. The drunk lot you mentioned were walking back with an escort that was low key but there was enough nearby if needed. It's just a sad part of the game that idiots like this come looking for trouble. Wading in would just hand it to them.
Meh. Of course. But there has to be some tactics or it would just be a big brawl and they would all take themselves out the picture to leave the rest to run roit. I just said that what I saw was very effect Ivr and proportionate. The fact we don't have a big issue with thugs anymore is due to being smarter With planning and disruption Read my post again. I said if they ALL got involved. Nothing about doing zero!
I won't hear any criticism of the police. They did a superb job yesterday pulling out a City fan who had found himself next to an exulting SAFC fan in E4, and quite rightly escorted him out. How dare he protest about away fans in the home areas openly celebrating? Good firm brave policing. Bravo.
I had to laugh...The main bulk of the group coming out of the New (****hole) Walton had to be late 30's to mid 40's.. Like a tour of ex welders from a closed shipyard....One bloke, a short bald, skinny guy about 35 was so pissed his mates had to hold him up....He then broke away to stagger across the car park hurling abuse at anyone in earshot. Plod just slept through it, though it was hardly a full head on ruck.
