I think it's a little arrogant of him to suggest this. Reminds me of when Dwayne Chambers was going to rule the Rugby League world. I haven't seen Bolt play football but I find it hard to believe that someone who hasn't been training and playing every day from a young age could really make a fist of it at United. It's like Valentino Rossi testing the Ferrari. People say he could drive in Formula 1, even though hsi lap times are 6 seconds off Alonso's. How would he make that time up?

Agreed. Footballers work hard and he seems to have underestimated the process of becoming an established player. Physical stats aren't the only things managers look at when buying players (Believe it or not), I'm not doubting his skill, but I reckon someone who trains everyday for years on end would have an advantage over someone who has only looked to develop his pace.

Depending on the position he would be interested in there are plenty more attributes he would need to aquire. Because of his pace I'd go with a winger, but he'd still need a decent final ball, good crossing, maybe a decent shot if he looked to cut inside and take a pop at goal. Not to mention the extra stamina needed to run for more than 10 seconds.

Yeah I think you need a bit of arrogance about you to be world class in any sport, which probably partially explains the comments. It does come across as a little disrespectful to those who are out practicing every day to become the football players they are though. It's like watching the Irish League here in Northern Ireland. You see the standard of play and believe that you could easily do better than those guys. But they are on a different level to what you'd expect when you see them up close.

He's a Man Utd fan of his so obviously it would be his dream to play for them, probably not very realistic though.

If you he can learn how to shoot then all you would need to do is hoof it up to him, let him win the foot race and get a shot on goal. It is unrealistic but he would be better than Walcott <laugh>
