Have to think there will be one upset in the round of 16 and this seems the most likely one. I think that we match up far better against Belgium than we did against Germany.

Agreed Ellewoods. Belgium have not looked that impressive and have some fitness concerns. This one is very winnable for the US if they avoid defensive mistakes and keep it tight in midfield.

Tend to agree. Think the USA will upset Belgium tonight.

Still dont see anything other than a Brazil v. Argentina final mind. Nobody really stands out that much in this world cup.

naw, I returned from Texas day before yesterday. Still jetlagged.
My colleagues don't really understand the game of football - they call it 'boring'
each to their own I guess. I hate baseball with a passion, basketball is dire, I dont mind watching NFL or NHL, but thats about it. oh and the cheerleaders are a helluvalot prettier than our sad excuse for sexy women.. lycra shouldn't be allowed on some.

Yes come on the USA we want to see one of the smaller footballing nations do well (in terms of soccer that is). Also want to see JA score a hatful of goals to prove all those doubters wrong.

I doubt he will play today. If we win he will probably start the next game.

Real good chance to go far if we beat Belgium. I honestly think that the US has a really good chance against Argentina and the Swiss after watching this game today.

Not to mention what all this would do for the sport if we did win. I know I keep saying that but every victory is going to mean years worth of advancement in the sport in comparison to what will occur if we lose.

The only similarity between the Stella in Belgium and the brewed under licence Stella foisted on us here is the name.
