Stunning US goalkeeper Hope Solo may have wowed the boys after her spot of naked lawn watering in ESPNâs The Body Issue but anything Hope can do striker Alex Morgan can do just as well. The 22-year-old stunning striker has stripped off and got body-painted up for the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, which hit the American newsagents on Valentineâs day. When asked what was more intimidating, posing in bodypaint or taking on Japan in the Womenâs World Cup, Morgan said she was more afraid of being seen in bodypaint, although you would never have guessed it from the stunning shots. âI have been playing soccer my entire life. I know how to stay calm and not get too nervous for games. That's why I would have to say posing in bodypaint was a little more intimidating.â Morgan said. âIt was a completely new experience and definitely took some getting used to before I felt comfortable in bodypaint. I had to look in the mirror every five minutes to make sure I actually had a swimsuit on.â But by scoring four goals in the US womenâs Olympic qualifying run, Morgan helped ensure the team will be at the 2012 London Olympics, which may even prove more intimidating than bodypaint.
