Mr Barzun’s itinerary included delivering a lecture at the University of Hull and meeting students at Sirius Academy in west Hull. He also toured the Wilberforce Institute of Slavery and Emancipation in High Street, city centre. The diplomat also found time to record his visit on social media, tweeting photographs of the Old Town including the world’s smallest window in the Land of Green Ginger. “I heard Hull is going to the UK City of Culture in 2017 so I thought I would beat the rush,” he said. Mr Barzun also admitted to being delighted at discovering Hull was the birthplace of celebrated 19th century mathematician John Venn. “I think I use Venn diagrams every single day. “What he came up with as a way of illustrating different but connecting propositions was just brilliant.” But he saved his highest praise for the Wilberforce Institute and the anti-slavery campaigner and former Hull MP it is named after. “Wilberforce is a name known around the world and I am sure it is something Hull can use in promoting the city during 2017, especially in America,” he said. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Amba...-26126398-detail/story.html?001#ixzz3TcJq6Nj1

“I think I use Venn diagrams every single day". I can confilm I don't use Venn diagrams every single day. The kettle, yes. Unless I see one on offer at Tesco I'll give them a miss. I would also like to add anyone who does use them daily needs to seek professional help.
Under 'The Pathway' is the international secret service code for safe house. Well its not very safe now its been published all over twitter. Or is that his way to communicate with a Chinese double agent, he doesn't even like Hull I bet, he's just organising a 'drop'. ****er

**** off. He's a real person. We don't have such things in our ruling class. (Not only that, but ours are such twats that anyone would want to 'biff' 'em.)
Mr Ambassador, before I forget. Thanks for your goal scoring machine, Jozy Altidore. HCAFC, Appearances 28 - Goals 1. Better than his Sunderland record though, App 48 - Goals 1. We won't get fooled again...
