The foul treatment of Suarez has gone global.

What are the odds of Uruguay and England in the same group for 2014?

Guess it depends if we got seeded in pot one, because Uruguay will be.

In that situation i'd actually support Uruguay. Getting sick of this country's sense of self importance.

I'm somewhat concerned that Uruguay are playing the Argies. That stinks of potential injuries. Please, please God, Not Suarez <yikes>

Tha FA are not flavour of the year at FIFA especially after Triesman and all that nonsense just because their bribes were beaten.

I would not be surprised if something did happen as he specifically mentioned Suarez when there had been at least 6 awful dives that month, in top slight games, most of those coming form Chelsea games.

This is all connected to his handball in the WC.

Yet noone has the spine to admit in his shoes, they'd have done the same thing and then slate him for not crying because Ghana missed the resulting penalty.
Triesman and the FA made public unsubstantiated claims of match fixing in international football and tournament rigging, and seeing as FIFA are certainly corrupt and dominated by South American FAs this may not bode well at all for the FA in terms of treatment by FIFA

If that actually happens we would be in serious trouble.

    Suarez is the victim here.

I also think it was disgusting that after they singled out Suarez they described his accents as a cancer. I noticed in the Uruguay FA's statement that they pointed this out to.

Describing diving as a cancer isnt so bad. But to associate it solely on Suarez is disgraceful. He should personally and publicly apologize to Suarez.

"Evil Jonny Foreigner" is the summation of the FA's anti-racism stance.

I've never had a problem with what Suarez did in the WC (and this was before he joined us, so there is no club bias) Like you said most people in that situation would have done the same, its a split second and in that time there is no thinking about fair play, just the desire to win.
And afterwards Suarez paid the price, sent off and missed the next two games which saw his country lose out in the semi's, a game they might have stood a better chance in if Suarez wasn't banned. Also Ghana had the chance to score, which they choked, it wasnt saved it was missed.

Exactly, pinning this whole issue on one player (even if they have dived in recent games) is unfair. This is a wider problem that isn't contained to just one player.
This just seems to be another person who wants to blame Suarez for every evil in the game.

Complaining to FIFA about cheating is a bit like complaining to Lance Armstrong about doping.

The FA have an agenda against FIFA after the slap in the face and complete waste of several million pounds on our world cup bid. This agenda, I believe, was in play during the Suarez-Evra hype, with the FA determined to prove they were not racist like that embarrassment, Sepp Blatter, after his comments about leaving it on the pitch. There was no way Suarez was ever going to be innocent. no matter what the cultural subtleties of a word most Brits had never heard before.

There's an awful lot of media coverage of an alleged dive but no fuss about the violent conduct of Huth. Arse/elbow scenario ensues.

A lot of folks were quick to slate the FA for thinking of banning a player who swore into TV cameras at 3 in the afternoon. With Suarez of course it's the FA doing the right thing according to opposing fans now so it is <doh>

<laugh> And the guy still maintains his innocence, he was trying to dope te whole team <doh>

Of course Huth can go do that.

Remember Pedro Mendez getting absolutely hammered by thatcher the thug. Smashed out cold by a sly elbow.

Drogba who was probably the worst offender in premiership history also escaped this kind of treatment.

Maybe you would care to elaborate on biggest cheats and cheat?
You mean compared to the FA who were far more corrupt controlling and exclusive than FIFA ever were?
The FA who, upon failing to influence votes in their favour for the world cup then claimed others did that, we were never told what the FA had promised in return for the promised vote in their favour, it was hardly gift of the gab was it.
The FA who had not had independent directors for how long?
The FA who ban Terry for 4 games and Suarez for 8 and Cole for none for publicly slating the FA
The FA who ban Ben Thatcher for 8 games for assaulting an opponent and knocking him unconscious in a violent vicious manner that was a risk to Pedro's life on live TV, Same as Suarez ban Disgraceful

And didn't ban Rio for ANY games, despite being found guilty of the exact same charge as Suarez and Terry...
