I'm as gutted as everyone else at yesterday's result, but as i sat in the ground at 6-0 down i felt a great pride come over me.Not in the players on the pitch or in the manager in the dugout, but in the most important people at the club, the supporters. The mere fact that we were all still singing after this debacle was testament to our unbreakable spirit. We are all members of a great club, our club and through thick and thin we remain loyal to it and for this we deserve great credit.Football is like life,it gives you joy and sadness in equal measures,it can taunt and bemuse you and leave you in utter despair before lifting you up again with great moments of jubilation.Last year we had the up,the high of promotion and unforgettable memories, this year we have had the low, albeit sprinkled with joyous never to be forgotten victories. What lies ahead remains to be seen, but whether we stay in this division or not it will not affect me.Whether it's Barnsley,Palace,Arsenal or Utd,i'll be there cheering for my team no matter what.I wouldn't want it any other way and i'm sure you will all be there beside me!
Spot on HH I was there with my son yesterday and I think that paradoxically we cranked up the noise the more Chelsea goals went in. And it was exactly the same at Fulham Clearly this isn't a reason to let in loads of goals everytime we play in a local derby, but it serves as a strong reminder that we care passionately about the club and aren't just there for the odd showpiece game a season
Well said Hammy. Just a point though, we never got to properly celebrate our great achievement last season thanks to those tightwad Goons, I was watching Reading taking 'our' trophy and the open top bus in the pissing rain and thinking we missed even getting a soaking to celebrate...
