http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2349715,00.html does this mean that parts of this could be made up or what?
Just read it. Like the wording of the update. Time for the FA to get their nuts out or get them chopped off.
It does look a bit more promising.. But i dont want to put a downer on it, but sometimes I cant stop thinking of the worst happening.
Can't help thinking that it's not like the Sun to blindly dive into a story if there's no truth in it. I sincerely hope that this is the one occasion where they've got it horribly wrong. If so, will the club be taking legal action against the newspaper?
they should do i would think.. and this 'fa insider' chap should be in bother as it states "the FA's policy is not to make public comment on the charges or evidence until after the hearing" so he should'nt be telling the sun this in the 1st place
All this is not helpful on the eve of a very important match. How are the players supposed to stay focused on the task at hand, which is gaining 3 points, when at the back at their minds they know it could all be in vain.
UPDATED CLUB STATEMENT Posted on: Fri 29 Apr 2011 QPR's lawyers have written to the FA requesting they instigate an investigation into the alleged source of the article in today's The Sun newspaper (Friday 29th April 2011) and that they issue an immediate statement confirming that the alleged FA source in the article does not represent the views of the FA and that the FA's policy is not to make public comment on the charges or evidence until after the hearing. The Club shall not be making any further comment on the charges until after the hearing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sick of it.
FA Statement Friday, 29 April, 2011 The FA clarifies that no comment has been made regarding charges against QPR. The FA wishes to make clear it dissociates itself from an article concerning QPR's forthcoming disciplinary hearing published in today's Sun newspaper. Any alleged FA source is not speaking on behalf of the FA, and The FA’s policy remains not to comment on the charges, evidence or potential range of sanctions before the outcome of a disciplinary hearing.‬‪
I reckon this could work in your favour! Say the source WAS an FA member, and he was telling the truth! The FA have denied this was an FA source, so could well vote against a points deduction just to make the article false
