My sources tell me that he is gunna sign (officialy) within the next couple days, the reason that it isnt official yet is because we have been sorting out the development fee for the club that had raised him (Mallorca) and that has taken a while to be sorted. So he has been over here training with us and could have played at the end of this season if his papers had been cleared quick enough but they have been taking along time to come through, but they are 90% complete.
He also said that he had been nicknamed fabregas but he admitted that he had loads to learn and improve on. Also he is only 18, i heard elsewhere that he was 22 (i think).
Thought this delay was a bit odd, that accounts for it. When this is sorted out, that's an entire midfield signed before the end of May - excellent. The longer everybody has to get used to one another, the better.
A whole new midfield is a good sign! Also he mentioned that he has bonded well with Big Mig and Semedo, always going to the gym with them on their days off!
well I think if we kept one fo them we'd have a good basis for next season If we kept both I think with a new striker and a Centre Back or three we'd be "Contenders" ... just not sure for what exactly
If they were to re-sign, it shows the club are selling the ambition to the players which is ultimately a good thing. However, I can't help but feel we need a fresh start with new players. Hollands is described as a defensive midfielder with an ability to get goals, so could we entertain a middle two of he and Semedo?
I've always wanted to see a central midfield 3 with a holding guy, a box-to-box and someone who can actually spot a pass .... god we miss someone like Claus Jensen
We really need a Claud type, couldn't agree more! I often find myself watching clips of him on YouTube- feel we didn't appreciate him enough whilst he was here, especially towards the end
you could only play someone like that in a centre midfield 3 really couldn't you ... too much of a luxury player otherwise guess Kinsella and Parker did the legwork .. but once Kinsella had gone Parker was immense doing more than his fair share Did anyone ever see Claus with anything other than pristine white shorts ?
I will hate to see Semedo go because he always gives everything. But I think we will find a new tackling midfielder more easily than we'll find a passing one like Racon.
Santa Claus was top drawer...Always thought that. One of curbs best signings. His passing was as smooth and seamless as silk.Complemented Parker and holland perfectly...Most of the time! I'd like to see Racon stay on personally...I think Hollands will offer us more than Semedo in the final 3rd.Talking to my Berries mates..he Always gives his all and is a good tackler too. Should be a more than capable replacement...I'm guessing his english is better too!
Ruben Bover Izquierdo has been with us since January, has played a number of friendly/reserve games for us last season as ''A Trialist''. He is reporting back for preseason 29th June i believe.
