They have signed Sturridge and according to SSN they are keeping hold of Elmander.

So that's one of the strikers crossed off... who can we realistically sign in the next 2 hours and 25 minutes?

Do you think Pardew has anything in the works?

Edit: Crouch is a no go according to Harry Redknapp on SSN.

With Elmander a no-go, Crouch not leaving and Cole saying on twitter he was at home, I don't think we'll bring in a striker. There is really no-one else out there at this point in the day.

After the chants of "You're just a **** Andy Carroll" a week ago, I think we could have already ruled out Crouchy

Doubt there will be anyone coming in, it took about a fortnight to tie up the Ireland deal and look how long the Larrsson deal dragged on and never happened. I'd rather wait until summer. Yes we'll be a bit light upfront but we only have to average <1 point per game to stay up. With Ben Arfa coming back to play in the gap I say leave it until summer.

I can see any one of: Elmander (could still be done), Bendtner, Pavyluchenko, Kalou????? or Dempsey

Kalou and Dempsey are decent players but never going to happen.

I admit its unlikely, although with Drogba, Torres and Anelka and Ancelotti unlkely to play all 3, it could. I suppose it doens tleave them with much back up condsidering Sturridge has gone. Fulham have AJ returning so could look to cash in

Kalou would get a decent goal return if he played week in week out.

Anelka could be feasible, Chelsea were going to let him go for Torres (rumour) and I can't see him getting a lot of games for the blues now. Could be useful until summer when we can buy someone more permenant
