Personally, I'd go with this - the same line-up in both games with continuity in mind: Goalkeeper: Fraser Forster Full backs: Danny Rose and Kyle Walker Centre backs: Eric Dier and Chris Smalling Midfield: Theo Walcott, Dele Alli, Ross Barkley, James Milner Strikers: Harry Kane and Danny Wellbeck We should really go for this ... not treating them like friendlies but like the World Cup final itself ... ... oh ... nearly forgot ... Jamie Vardy and Danny Drinkwater to be brought on for the final minute of each game of course ...
I agree regarding continuity and I think that both Drinkwater and Vardy should play 90 minutes in both matches, in fact as we are preparing for a tournament, I would suggest that regardless of the score we should play 30 mins extra time as well and anyone whose club team starts with an L cannot be substituted
... not really Spurlock ... coz unlike Welcrocked and Soreridge ... Vardy could play all that time and still turn up as fresh as a daisy for the next league match ... nasty little fooker that he is
Don't worry though the new England boss will take over and save Engerland from even more disppointment. please log in to view this image You heard it here first.
Depends on what formation really.... if we wanna play 2 up top then I'd go a diamond with Dier holding, Alli & Henderson just ahead and Barkley behind Kane & Vardy. Rose, Clyne, Cahill and Smalling to make up defence. If we're going for a more 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 then same defence. Kane just behind Vardy, Welbeck & Theo wide. Midfield 2 from Dier/Hendo/Drinkwater/Milner though I'd certainly have Dier in the team regardless. COUNTER ATTACK!!! Thinking about it, I would have all of Rose, Dier, Alli & Kane starting no matter what formation we play.
... I'm not so sure ... the FA tend to stick to a 'tired and testing' model ... if they follow the under acheiving scouse manager route we may well have to wait another season or two for Woy's replacement ,,, still if that finally puts to bed the anti-German nonesense from some England fans then it may, nevertheless, be worth the wait...
Why's that? Been one of Englands best players in recent years. Got a decent record considering most of the time he's played wide. Tracks back, puts a shift in as well as providing a threat. Tends to score in a few big games as well. Already got a tournament goal. Certainly better for England than Sturridge/Sterling have been
Not gonna happen mate, Klopp will drive us on to win everything on offer When he's reday to retire we'll kill him and bury him under the pitch.
14 goals in 33 games is a decent return for International level, paticuarly if you're playing wide 90% of the time
