After the unthinkable, we're now 5/5! Beating a supposedly promising Brentford side ( who apparently battered us first half ) with our oustandingly accurate shooting - something in the 80% of chances converted so far...we travel to slow starting Palace under Frank De Boer. What a **** job he did with Inter I may add. Awful. Now what kinda line up do we do for this!? Surely time to at least bench McGoldrick - we need him fully fit for the campaign if we're going to do anything one would suggest. Maybe time for Celina to have a go, Rowe maybe from the off!?! Nydam / Downes!? Gerken Same back four you'd imagine.... Lets go for a change of midfield - Rowe / Nydam / Skuse / Downes / Celina Garner. Absolutely no idea what Mick will opt for here, however you'd imagine a little rotation. I'd love us to win this however Fulham would be the more important game in my opinion anyway. Anyone going?
A valiant 2-1 loss with no injuries would probably be the best case scenario for everyone involved. Also, Mick mentioned We'd have another CB in by then, so may rest Jonas or Spence in either a back 4 or include Wolfy in a back 5. Huws is also apparently available to play some part so hopefully he can get himself through 60 minutes unscathed
https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/efl-cup/crystal-palace-v-ipswich/winner Okay clearly some info out, we were 6-1 with Bet365 the other day you don't drift like the proverbial plague for no reason. I would assume they are going full 11 and we're making change. 3-1 Palace.
Westy - this could be why we are drifting. https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/32129/u23s-team-at-burnley-gives-clues-to-team-at-palace I'm surprised we are not into double figures - if Palace want some salvation, then they could muller us
We are apparently fielding a load of youngsters. Expect the likes of Downes, Nydam, Woolfenden, Patterson, Fowler, and Webber to make an appearance. If Palace name a semi-competitive starting eleven (the likes of Cabaye, Benteke, and and Townsend are in line for starts), then this could be a heavy defeat. I can see McCarthy's reasoning here. We have 11/12 players out injured and Huws has aggravated an injury, so will miss this game despite being in line for game time. It's a game that, to me, doesn't really mean anything and the new sponsors have really messed up the cup format, in my opinion. I think we'll lose 4-1 but a couple of youngsters will hopefully give a good account of themselves.
we're into the 12 with Betfair stretchy and I think we'll kick off 16 / 18 maybe 20-1 yet. I've actually convinced a mate from the UK to put a lot of ££££ on Palace - I said it's worth £100 / £200 but he's gone and shoved £1000 on before kick off which is a bit silly - that said with Betfair he can cash out prior to kick off for a bit but it's a pretty darn obvious loss. If Nuggets is right and the young lads can give a good account of themselves, then we'll have to take that. I'm not at all annoyed this time like I was when I went to Old Trafford and it was in my opinion a totally needless changed 11. Infact, we drew 2-2 with Bristol City that weekend ( went to that too ) and it really helped break our momentum. This is a different set of circumstance so I wish everyone playing the best, and make a name for yourself.
Palace will want to win this game first and foremost, so will pick a relative strong team. On paper it seems your mate will be getting an easy £300 (not that i'm advocating gambling, being in recovery myself), but stranger things have happened. If somehow we manage to get through this tie, then i'd say that the gods are shining on us and we're destined for promotion I'll go with a battling 3-0 loss

I’m a bit out of touch with what’s going on with the youngsters. I’m surprised Ben Morris isn’t getting a game under the circumstances.
Even in defeat, the boys are playing strong at the moment. Would still be happy to take a point against a dangerous Fulham on Saturday, to leave us unbeaten and in a an automatic promotion spot going in to the international break ......
